    Description

Newtowne C4-Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber: Seated Home HBOT in a 64.5 Inch Frame

The Newtowne C4-Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber is Newtowne's shortest seated design, 68 inches long at full pressure. Fully inflated it measures 68 x 37 x 42 inches and hangs on a 64.5 x 27.75 x 42 inch steel frame. You sit inside with your legs forward in the low foot section. Newtowne's data sheet shows a 6 ft 1 in, 250 lb adult seated inside it, and Newtowne states users under 5 ft 4 in can also lie down. It runs at 4 PSI, about 1.3 ATA, is FDA cleared under 510(k) K051759, and is built by Newtowne Hyperbarics in Pocomoke City, Maryland. A prescription is required to buy it.

RecovAthlete is an authorized dealer for Newtowne Hyperbarics. Every order ships from the Newtowne factory with the Newtowne warranty and direct factory support.

Newtowne C4-Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber next to an adult for size comparison

    The Problem the C4-Shoe Solves

Newtowne's horizontal chambers need 92 inches or more of floor. The C4-Shoe needs 68. It is the chamber for the spare room, the condo, or the clinic corner where a cylinder will not go. It is also the chamber for people who would rather sit than lie flat for an hour. The trade is length: if you are over 5 ft 4 in and want to lie down, the Newtowne Long Shoe is 13 inches longer at the same width and is rated for lying down up to 6 ft 1 in.

IMPORTANT: SEATED USE AND THE PRESCRIPTION

Newtowne designed the Shoe for seated use. Newtowne states users under 5 ft 4 in may also lie down. Taller buyers who want to lie flat should choose the Long Shoe or a horizontal model. If you are over 6 ft 1 in, call 866-861-6317 before ordering any shoe model.

Federal law restricts this device to sale on the order of a physician, dentist, or other qualified professional. You may place your order before submitting a prescription, but RecovAthlete cannot release the chamber for shipment until the documentation has been verified. Details are in the prescription section below.

Why Buy the C4-Shoe From RecovAthlete

Newtowne sells through authorized dealers. What changes when you buy here is what comes with the order.

    • Height and room check before you order, so you get the right Newtowne model.
    • Authorized dealer, so the 2 year Newtowne warranty is valid and the Maryland factory supports the unit directly.
    • Prescription help. No prescriber? We can point you to a telehealth option. See below.
    • Financing through Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, and KWIPPED for qualified buyers.
    • We carry six hyperbaric brands. If another model is the better fit, we will say so.
    • Military, veteran, and first responder pricing is available as a variant at the top of this page. A valid ID is required. Email a copy to support@recovathlete.com after you order; the chamber is not released until it is verified.
    • A person answers 866-861-6317, 9am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday, before and after delivery.

    The Numbers That Matter

The frame is 42 inches high at the head end and 24 inches at the foot end. The shape is the point: full height where you sit, low where your feet go. The foot section drops down for easier entry.

Operating pressure is 4 PSI, or 1.3 ATA, the same as every Newtowne Class 4 chamber. It works with a 10 L oxygen concentrator through the included oxygen valve. The 80 L compressor has its own relief valve, and the chamber has two more preset at the factory to 4 to 4.4 PSI. A power outage alarm is standard.

    Room, Power, and Setup

The chamber is a little longer than the frame, so measure for 68 inches, not 64.5. Position the chamber and frame at least 3 ft from heat or open flame, in a cool room. Place the compressor 4 to 6 ft from the chamber with slack in the air hose. Pressure raises the inside temperature 5 to 10 F during a session.

Power is a standard grounded 120 V outlet. The compressor has no switch; you plug it in to start. First inflation takes 10 to 20 minutes. Newtowne supplies a manual, video training, and setup help by video call. Replace the compressor filter once a year.

    Best For

    • Homes and clinics with room for 68 in of chamber but not a 92 in or longer cylinder
    • Users who want to sit upright and read a book during a session
    • Buyers who want a US-built, FDA cleared chamber
    • Clinics that need a seated option next to a lie-flat chamber

    Not Ideal For

    • Anyone over 5 ft 4 in who wants to lie down. Buy the Long Shoe or a horizontal model.
    • Anyone over 6 ft 1 in. Call first.
    • Two people in one session. The C4-Shoe is single occupant.
    • Buyers who want pressure above 1.3 ATA. Newtowne soft chambers stop at 4 PSI.

    SAFETY: READ BEFORE FIRST USE

    • This chamber pressurizes with room air only. Never pressurize it with oxygen. An optional concentrator delivers oxygen through the mask or cannula.
    • Keep the compressor running for the whole session. If power stops or the air hose disconnects, open the deflate valve, depressurize, and exit immediately.
    • Do not bring electrical or static-producing devices inside unless Newtowne specifically authorizes them.
    • Do not open the zippers until the chamber material is no longer rigid.
    • No solvents, alcohol, bleach, adhesives, or sealants on the chamber. They void the warranty.
    • Inspect the zippers within 7 days of delivery and report any fault to RecovAthlete then.
    • Follow the Newtowne manual on clothing, permitted items, ear equalization, cleaning, and supervision.

    A chamber that fits a normal room. 68 x 37 x 42 in inflated on a 64.5 in frame. No interior poles.
Sit up for the whole session. 42 in of head height. Newtowne's data sheet shows a 6 ft 1 in, 250 lb adult seated inside. Users under 5 ft 4 in can also lie down, per Newtowne.
Easy in and out. The foot section drops down for entry. Triple zipper works from inside and outside.
Controls reachable from inside and outside. Air deflate valve inside and out. A power outage alarm sounds if the pump stops.
Redundant pressure control. Two pressure relief valves on the chamber plus a relief valve on the compressor. Only one is needed; the others are backups.
You control how fast your ears adjust. The internal air deflate valve lets you pause or slow pressurization from inside.
Light and a view out. Two viewports with hard port covers that stop bulging under pressure.
Ready for an oxygen concentrator. Oxygen kit in the box: valve, hose, adult mask, adult cannula. Two accessory ports; the oxygen valve uses one when installed.

    BEFORE YOU ORDER

Confirm three things. You are happy to sit for every session. You have floor space for a 68 in chamber and a grounded 120 V outlet near where the compressor will sit. You have a prescription, or a plan to get one.

The oxygen concentrator, the internal pressure gauge, and any chair or mat are not included. Newtowne says the chamber works well with a legless gaming chair.

    Prescription Requirement

Federal law restricts sale of this device to the order of a physician, dentist, or other qualified professional. Practitioner and clinic purchases are subject to the same license and prescription verification. You may place your order first, but RecovAthlete cannot release the chamber for shipment until the documentation has been verified.

Need a prescriber? Dr. Garry Warner offers HBOT consults by telehealth at (303) 915-4813, drgarrywarner.com. His fee is paid to him directly; RecovAthlete is not part of that transaction. Email your prescription to info@recovathlete.com. If you are buying a concentrator, RecovAthlete asks for both items on one prescription.

    Newtowne C4-Shoe Questions

Is the Newtowne C4-Shoe FDA cleared?

Yes. Newtowne chambers are FDA cleared and registered under 510(k) number K051759. Newtowne's stated indication for use is acute mountain sickness. Any other use is off label, and your session schedule is set by your prescriber, not by Newtowne or RecovAthlete.

Can I lie down in the Newtowne C4-Shoe?

Newtowne designed it for seated use and states users under 5 ft 4 in can also lie down. Above that height you are semi-reclined at best. If lying down matters, the Long Shoe is 81 inches and rated for lying down up to 6 ft 1 in.

How is the C4-Shoe different from the Long Shoe?

Length. The C4-Shoe is 68 inches; the Long Shoe is 81 inches. Width, height, pressure, viewports, compressor, and zippers are the same. The C4-Shoe is the smaller footprint and the lower price. The Long Shoe is the one to buy if you want to lie down.

Can I get in and out of the C4-Shoe by myself?

Yes. All three zippers and the air deflate valve work from inside or outside. Drop the foot section, step in, turn around, and lower yourself to a seated position. Alone, close the outer zipper first, then the airtight zipper, then the inner zipper.

What happens if the power goes out during a session?

The C4-Shoe has a power outage alarm that sounds when the pump stops. Newtowne's instruction is to open the internal deflate valve, depressurize, and exit. Do not open the zippers until the material is no longer rigid.

Does the C4-Shoe come with an oxygen concentrator?

No. The oxygen kit is included: valve, hose, adult mask, and adult cannula. The concentrator is sold separately and must be on the same prescription as the chamber. Newtowne recommends a 10 L unit run at 7 to 9 LPM. Call 866-861-6317 for a combined quote.

What does a Newtowne warranty cover on the C4-Shoe?

Newtowne covers defects in material and workmanship for 2 years. You can add up to 3 more years inside the first 2. The owner pays shipping to and from the factory. Zipper damage from misuse and any use of sealants, adhesives, or solvents are not covered. Full terms are in the warranty tab on this page.

Fully inflated it measures 68 x 37 x 42 inches and hangs on a 64.5 x 27.75 x 42 inch steel frame. You sit inside with your legs forward in the low foot section.

    • Operations manual, packing list, and final test and evaluation form x 1 each

    C4-Shoe, Long Shoe, or C4-34

    Benefits and Features

Newtowne C4-Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber: what you get and the hardware behind it
What you get The feature behind it
    A chamber that fits a normal room.

    Newtowne C4-Shoe Questions

Financing for Recovery and Fitness Equipment

Buying for yourself, spread the cost through Affirm at checkout. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, or studio, apply with one of four business lenders and put the whole room on a single application.

RecovAthlete has no control over any financing decision. Approval is based on your creditworthiness and is solely the lender's decision.

    Personal purchase

Affirm at checkout. Rates run 0% to 36% APR based on your credit profile. Soft check to prequalify, so no impact on your score. No prepayment penalty.

    Business purchase

Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, or KWIPPED. Apply with two of the four and compare. Financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm with your accountant.

    Financing by Equipment Category

Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.

    Building a Recovery Room?

Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.

That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.

See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.

Which Lender Should You Apply With?

Lender Type Amount Speed Best for
Affirm Consumer, at checkout Order total Seconds Personal purchases. 0% to 36% APR based on credit. Soft check to prequalify.
Brickhouse Capital Direct equipment lender Up to $250K on a one-page application, $1M+ with financials ~24 hours A full room or a full floor. Credit decisions made in-house. Tied to the business, not your personal credit report.
Reliant Capital Lender and broker Up to $500K application-only, $5M with financials 2 to 4 hours Medical, aesthetic, and wellness. Deferred payment options. New or used equipment.
Acorn Finance Lending marketplace $1,000 to $100,000 60 seconds to prequalify Comparing offers. One application goes to 30 or more lenders with no impact to your score.
KWIPPED (APPROVE) Lender marketplace Minimum $1,500 equipment value 60-second application Larger commercial orders. Lenders compete, which usually returns the best APR. Businesses only.

Apply with two of the four and compare. It costs nothing and the spread between offers is often significant.

    Financing Questions

    What are Affirm's rates?

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.

Can I finance equipment for a business?

Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.

Should I finance each machine separately?

No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?

Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.

Can freight and installation be financed?

Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.

    Can I pay off early?

Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

    Not sure which option fits?

Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.

    Benefits and Features

Newtowne C4-Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber: what you get and the hardware behind it
What you get The feature behind it
    A chamber that fits a normal room.

OxyRevo hyperbaric chambers: certifications and FDA compliance

Here is exactly how OxyRevo equipment fits within U.S. and international standards, followed by the full list of manufacturer certification and test documents behind every chamber we sell.

    FDA STATUS

OxyRevo chambers are CE certified and UKCA verified, but not FDA cleared for medical use in the United States. They are designed for wellness and recovery applications. If you need an FDA cleared chamber, call us and we will point you to the models that carry that clearance.

    Full FDA and medical disclaimer

The FDA clears soft chambers only up to 1.3 ATA for altitude sickness. Using any chamber for wellness or recovery is off-label use: legal, but not FDA evaluated. Chambers at 1.4 to 2.0 ATA are typically Class II devices requiring a prescription and PVHO-1 compliance in the U.S.

Unless stated for an FDA cleared product, the FDA has not evaluated products or statements on RecovAthlete.com, our products do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and all content is educational only. Consult a licensed provider before use, especially if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or taking prescription medication.

Results vary and are not guaranteed. RecovAthlete and its affiliates are not liable for injury, harm, or adverse effects from the use or misuse of our products, and users assume full responsibility for product use.

Every OxyRevo chamber we sell is CE certified and UKCA verified

OxyRevo chambers are made by Zhuji Belecon Health Technology Co., Ltd. The manufacturer holds 21 certification and test documents covering the chambers, compressors, tanks and inflatable bags. RecovAthlete has been an authorized OxyRevo dealer since 2023 and sells 11 models in the US. Certificates are issued to the manufacturer and cover the full range, including models we do not stock.

CE certification (issued by Ente Certificazione Macchine, Italy) covers European machinery, electrical and pressure equipment safety rules. UKCA verification (ICR Polska) covers the equivalent UK regulations. ISO 13485:2016 is the medical-device quality standard. EMC testing confirms no interference with home electronics, and RoHS and REACH testing confirms the foam, seals and fabric contain no restricted chemicals.
