OxyRevo Heal40 1.4 ATA Portable Wheelchair Hyperbaric Chamber

The Heal40 is a soft, sitting hyperbaric oxygen chamber for wheelchair users. It raises the air pressure around you and feeds oxygen through a mask, which is mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy (mHBOT). People run it at home for general wellness and recovery, and clinics use it too. For any use tied to a specific condition, talk to your physician.

ATA is atmospheres absolute, the pressure inside the chamber. Normal air is 1.0 ATA. The Heal40 runs at 1.4 ATA, adjustable down to 1.2, which is the standard band for home mild HBOT. Higher pressures like 2.0 ATA need a hard chamber and cannot take a wheelchair. If you want a touch more soft-chamber pressure, the Heal50 runs 1.5 ATA (see the next question).

A lying chamber needs you to transfer onto the surface and stay flat. The Heal40 rolls in and seats you upright, so there is no transfer, plus more legroom and a less closed-in feel. See the Description for how the roll-in base works.

The wide zippered opening and the 67 by 62 inch floor take most standard manual and electric wheelchairs. Measure your chair's width and height against the Specifications tab first. If you are near the limit, ask us and we will check the fit with you.

The Heal40 runs at 1.4 ATA, the standard for home mild HBOT. The OxyRevo Heal50 is the same wheelchair-accessible idea at 1.5 ATA. If you want the higher soft-chamber pressure, choose the Heal50. For 2.0 ATA you need a hard chamber, which cannot take a wheelchair.

Yes. The aluminum base ships attached to the chamber. Installation is one person: fit the internal frame, add the internal and external pressure gauges, then connect the air and oxygen tubes to the color-matched valves. No special tools. The manual walks through each step with diagrams.

No. The Heal40 includes a 10L oxygen concentrator that delivers 90 to 97% oxygen through the mask, so it arrives ready to run.

Two different numbers. Through the mask, the concentrator delivers about 90 to 95% oxygen. With the mask off, the chamber air itself measures lower, because the compressor pushes fresh air through to hold pressure. OxyRevo measured the Heal40 at about 30% at 30 minutes and about 33% at 60 minutes, where it plateaus. So the mask is the higher-oxygen route; running without it is a comfort choice, not a way to get more oxygen. These figures are OxyRevo's own measurements.

The Heal40 runs at 50 dB or under. OxyRevo uses quiet automatic pressure relief valves that spread the airflow, so you can rest or sleep during a session.

Yes, a mild ear sensation on the way up is normal, like a plane taking off. Chewing, swallowing or gently blowing against a closed mouth clears it. The Heal40's pressure converter also lets you climb in small steps. If you have a cold or blocked ears, end the session and try another day.

OxyRevo recommends 60 to 90 minutes per session. How often you use it is a decision for you and your physician, not something we set.

Wipe the inside with a damp or antibacterial cloth when needed and run it under pressure until dry. Replace the compressor's activated carbon cotton filters every 6 to 12 months, depending on use. Empty the cooler's water container after each session.

The Heal40 comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery. Within that period, faulty materials or workmanship on a properly operated system are repaired or replaced. A 2-year extended warranty is available as a paid add-on.

We cannot quote an exact lifespan, but the build points to long service: heat-welded seams instead of glue, a stainless internal frame, and a solid aluminum base. It carries a 2-year warranty, extendable by two more. Replace the compressor's carbon filters every 6 to 12 months and empty the cooler after each session, and the chamber holds up with normal care.

The Heal40 has emergency relief valves you can operate from inside or outside to deflate the chamber, plus a manual pressure deflate valve. In an emergency the chamber can be brought to zero and opened in about 30 seconds. Always wait for the gauge to read zero before opening the zippers.

OxyRevo lists several conditions where the chamber should not be used, including pregnancy, severe infectious disease, bad colds, pneumothorax, severe emphysema, hypertension above 160/100, and severe heart problems. This is the manufacturer's list. Check with your physician before starting, and use the chamber under adult care.

With the mask off the chamber air runs above normal room oxygen, so treat it like any oxygen-enriched space. Keep smoking, open flame and spark sources away from the chamber. Keep oil and grease off the fittings. Ventilate the room the chamber sits in, and keep the concentrator's air intake clear so it is not pulling from a tight corner.
