A lying hyperbaric chamber is a horizontal chamber you enter and recline in for the session. The oxygen therapy is the same as a sitting chamber at the same pressure. What changes is the position you hold for 60 to 90 minutes, and that is what decides which one you actually use. Lying is the format most people picture: flat, relaxed, and still, which is what most home and recovery routines call for.

No. The effect comes from pressure and oxygen, not position. A lying chamber at 1.5 ATA and a sitting chamber at 1.5 ATA give the same result. Choose the position you will use consistently, because the chamber you get into beats the one you avoid.

Can I use a lying chamber for sleep-adjacent sessions?

Lying is the only format that suits long sessions at the edges of sleep, since you are already flat. Follow your own protocol and physician guidance on session length, and never run a session alone.

How tall can I be and still fit?
