Can one person operate the chamber alone from the inside?
Yes. Dual interior and exterior manual controls let a single user operate the chamber from inside without an assistant. The only additional product you need to buy is a compatible oxygen concentrator.
Which side do I enter from?
The chamber can be set up for entry on either the right or left side, and it supports side or top entry depending on your preference and mobility.
Does the chamber contain pure oxygen without a concentrator?
No. The chamber is pressurized with ambient room air to 1.3 ATA, and the oxygen level inside is the same with or without a concentrator. To breathe higher-concentration oxygen, you use a 10 LPM oxygen concentrator, which delivers oxygen through the included mask or cannula. The concentrator does not pressurize the chamber.
Is it safe to use near a furnace or water heater?
According to the manufacturer, it is fine to have the chamber in the same room as a furnace or water heater. Keep the chamber, compressor, and oxygen concentrator at least 5 feet from any heat source, including space heaters, electric or gas heaters, steam pipes, furnaces, and radiators.
What outlet does it need, and what happens in a power outage?
The chamber runs on a standard household outlet and draws less power than a microwave. A power outage alarm sounds if home power or the compressor is interrupted. If that happens you have ample time, 30 minutes or more, to exit using standard procedures before CO2 buildup is a concern.
Can I buy a replacement compressor separately?
No. Per FDA, the compressor is regulated together with the chamber and cannot be used on other chamber brands, so it is only sold with the chamber. Compressors are very rarely replaced.

Which way does the fill valve turn?

The chamber can be set up for entry on either the right or left side, and it supports side or top entry depending on your preference and mobility.
Does the chamber contain pure oxygen without a concentrator?
No. The chamber is pressurized with ambient room air to 1.3 ATA, and the oxygen level inside is the same with or without a concentrator. To breathe higher-concentration oxygen, you use a 10 LPM oxygen concentrator, which delivers oxygen through the included mask or cannula. The concentrator does not pressurize the chamber.
Is it safe to use near a furnace or water heater?
According to the manufacturer, it is fine to have the chamber in the same room as a furnace or water heater. Keep the chamber, compressor, and oxygen concentrator at least 5 feet from any heat source, including space heaters, electric or gas heaters, steam pipes, furnaces, and radiators.

Which side do I enter from?
The chamber can be set up for entry on either the right or left side, and it supports side or top entry depending on your preference and mobility.
Does the chamber contain pure oxygen without a concentrator?
No. The chamber is pressurized with ambient room air to 1.3 ATA, and the oxygen level inside is the same with or without a concentrator. To breathe higher-concentration oxygen, you use a 10 LPM oxygen concentrator, which delivers oxygen through the included mask or cannula. The concentrator does not pressurize the chamber.
Is it safe to use near a furnace or water heater?
According to the manufacturer, it is fine to have the chamber in the same room as a furnace or water heater. Keep the chamber, compressor, and oxygen concentrator at least 5 feet from any heat source, including space heaters, electric or gas heaters, steam pipes, furnaces, and radiators.
What outlet does it need, and what happens in a power outage?
The chamber runs on a standard household outlet and draws less power than a microwave. A power outage alarm sounds if home power or the compressor is interrupted. If that happens you have ample time, 30 minutes or more, to exit using standard procedures before CO2 buildup is a concern.
Can I buy a replacement compressor separately?
No. Per FDA, the compressor is regulated together with the chamber and cannot be used on other chamber brands, so it is only sold with the chamber. Compressors are very rarely replaced.

Which way does the fill valve turn?

Warranty Policy – Newtowne Hyperbaric Chambers
Newtowne Hyperbarics warrants your hyperbaric chamber to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase.
If a defect is discovered during this period, Newtowne will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product using new or refurbished components, or
- Replace the product if repair is not possible.
This warranty applies only to defects in manufacturing and workmanship discovered during normal use, as recommended by the manufacturer.

Is 27 inches wide enough to be comfortable?
For most adults, yes. You lie flat with your arms at your sides. It is narrower than the 34 inch and 40 inch models, and some users who have tried all three prefer more room. The vast majority of solo adult users find the C4-27 comfortable for 60 to 90 minute daily sessions. If you have a broader frame or claustrophobia concerns, the C4-34 is worth the step up.
Why choose the C4-27 over a cheaper imported chamber?
The C4-27 is USA-made by Newtowne, which has 20+ years of in-house manufacturing history and a zero safety incident record. Does the C4-27 include an oxygen concentrator?

Can one person operate the chamber alone from the inside?
Yes. Dual interior and exterior manual controls let a single user operate the chamber from inside without an assistant. The only additional product you need to buy is a compatible oxygen concentrator.
Which side do I enter from?
The chamber can be set up for entry on either the right or left side, and it supports side or top entry depending on your preference and mobility.
Does the chamber contain pure oxygen without a concentrator?
No. The chamber is pressurized with ambient room air to 1.3 ATA, and the oxygen level inside is the same with or without a concentrator. To breathe higher-concentration oxygen, you use a 10 LPM oxygen concentrator, which delivers oxygen through the included mask or cannula. The concentrator does not pressurize the chamber.
Is it safe to use near a furnace or water heater?
According to the manufacturer, it is fine to have the chamber in the same room as a furnace or water heater. Keep the chamber, compressor, and oxygen concentrator at least 5 feet from any heat source, including space heaters, electric or gas heaters, steam pipes, furnaces, and radiators.
What outlet does it need, and what happens in a power outage?
The chamber runs on a standard household outlet and draws less power than a microwave. A power outage alarm sounds if home power or the compressor is interrupted. If that happens you have ample time, 30 minutes or more, to exit using standard procedures before CO2 buildup is a concern.
Can I buy a replacement compressor separately?
No. Per FDA, the compressor is regulated together with the chamber and cannot be used on other chamber brands, so it is only sold with the chamber. Compressors are very rarely replaced.
Does it come with steps to get in and out?
No, the chamber does not include steps.
Which way does the fill valve turn?
The fill valve is turned in-line (parallel) to open and perpendicular to close. The operation manual shows diagrams of the valve open and closed. See the C4-27 Operation Manual linked in the Documentation section above.
How does the extended warranty work?
