Room, power, and setup
Position the chamber and frame at least 3 ft from heat or open flame, in a cool room. Place the compressor 4 to 6 ft away with slack in the air hose. Pressure raises the inside temperature 5 to 10 F during a session. Between sessions the frame stands on end with the folded chamber inside it.
Power is a standard grounded 120 V outlet. The compressor has no switch; you plug it in to start. Replace the compressor filter once a year and lubricate the horseshoe end stops on the airtight zipper every 10 to 20 uses with the tube Newtowne supplies. Newtowne provides a manual, video training, and setup help by video call.

What are Affirm's rates?
Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Can I finance equipment for a business?
Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.
Should I finance each machine separately?
No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.
Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Can freight and installation be financed?
Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.
Can I pay off early?
Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

Is 27 inches wide enough?
Newtowne rates the C4-27 for an average-sized adult lying flat, with arms at the sides. It does not publish a height or weight limit. If you have a broad frame or dislike enclosed spaces, the wider C4-34 mild hyperbaric chamber adds 7 inches of width and a second viewport. How much floor space do I need?
Plan around the frame, which is 29.75 in wide by 67.5 in long, plus room for the rounded ends of the chamber at full pressure and for the compressor 4 to 6 ft to one side. Keep the chamber at least 3 ft from heat or open flame. Between sessions the frame stands on end with the chamber folded inside, so storage takes less room than the running footprint.
Why does Newtowne list 84 inches in one place and 92 in another?
Newtowne's product page gives 84 inches at full pressure. The Class 4 manual gives 92 inches, which is the flat length before the ends round off. Both are Newtowne figures for the same chamber. Plan your space on the frame length plus the rounded ends.
Setup and use
What power does the C4-27 need?
A standard grounded 120 V, 60 Hz household outlet. The compressor has no on/off switch; you plug it in to start and it runs the whole session. First inflation takes 10 to 20 minutes. Keep the compressor running for the entire session, and if power stops, open the deflate valve, depressurize, and exit.
Does the C4-27 come with an oxygen concentrator?
No. The oxygen kit is included: valve, hose, mask, and cannula. The concentrator is sold separately and needs its own prescription. Newtowne recommends a 10 L unit run at 7 to 9 LPM. You can add one from the options at the top of this page, and RecovAthlete asks for the chamber and concentrator on one prescription.
Prescription and shipping
Why do I need a prescription, and how do I get one?
Federal law restricts sale of this device to the order of a physician, dentist, or other qualified professional, so RecovAthlete cannot release the C4-27 until the prescription is verified. You may place your order first. If you have no prescriber, Dr. Garry Warner offers HBOT consults by telehealth at (303) 915-4813, drgarrywarner.com. His fee is paid to him directly. Do you ship the C4-27 to Canada?
We ship Newtowne chambers within the US only. For Canadian buyers, we ship to the UPS Store nearest you on the US side of the border, and you collect it there and carry it across yourself. Call 866-861-6317 to set this up. We do not ship to PO boxes.
Can I use the C4-27 for my pet?
Newtowne publishes a guide for pet and veterinary use of its chambers. For a 27 inch chamber it suggests a crate with a girth (2W + 2H) of no more than 64 inches and a length of no more than 30 inches. Newtowne states a veterinary prescription is not required for pet use. Talk to your vet first. The pet guide is in the manuals tab.
Warranty and safety
What does the Newtowne warranty cover?
Newtowne covers defects in material and workmanship for 2 years. Years 3, 4, and 5 can be added inside the first 2 years; the prices are in the upgrades tab. The owner pays shipping to and from the factory for warranty work. Zipper damage from misuse, and any use of sealants, adhesives, or solvents, are not covered. Is the C4-27 safe to run at home?
The C4-27 is pressurized with room air only, never oxygen, and has two chamber relief valves plus a compressor relief valve and a power outage alarm. Keep the compressor running for the whole session, do not bring electrical or static-producing devices inside, and do not open the zippers until the material is soft. Follow the Newtowne manual on clothing, permitted items, cleaning, and supervision.
Who does Newtowne say should not use the C4-27?
Newtowne's manual lists conditions where the chamber should not be used, or only after a doctor clears you: a cold or flu, blocked Eustachian tubes, anything blocking the outer ear canal, signs of decompression sickness, being under the influence of alcohol, exposure to high CO2, pregnancy (consult your physician), and COPD with existing oxygen dependence. This is Newtowne's list, not medical advice from RecovAthlete. Clear any condition with your prescriber before you use the chamber.
Is the C4-27 FDA cleared?

Newtowne Hyperbarics warrants your hyperbaric chamber to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase.
If a defect is discovered during this period, Newtowne will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product using new or refurbished components, or
- Replace the product if repair is not possible.
This warranty applies only to defects in manufacturing and workmanship discovered during normal use, as recommended by the manufacturer.
What’s Covered
- Defects in materials or workmanship during normal use
- Repair or replacement of defective parts, as determined by Newtowne Hyperbarics
What’s Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Loss or theft
- Damage from misuse, abuse, or improper operation
- Unauthorized modifications or disassembly
- Improper storage or handling
- Damage from lightning, fire, flooding, or other natural disasters
- Shipping costs to and from the repair facility
Extended Warranty Option
You may purchase an additional 1, 2, or 3-year extended warranty at any time during the initial two-year coverage period.
Shipping Responsibility
The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the product to and from the repair facility for any warranty-related service.
How to File a Warranty Claim
To start a claim, contact us with:
- Your original order number
- A detailed description of the issue
- Photos or video (if applicable)
We will review your case and issue return instructions if the claim qualifies.
