Buy Total Gym Pilates & Fitness Equipment

It depends on your use case. For a single machine covering the most exercises, the ELEVATE Encompass handles 250+ movements. For a dedicated core station, the Core ADJ is the standard. For clinical rehab, the RS Encompass or Power Tower. For a full facility build, the Circuit or Super Circuit. The comparison table above maps every model to its ideal buyer.

The machine is the Total Gym ELEVATE Core ADJ. It's an adjustable incline glideboard that trains the core through plank and scrunch movements rather than traditional crunches. 7 resistance levels accommodate beginners through advanced athletes. Planet Fitness uses it as a dedicated core training station. It takes up 12 square feet, holds users up to 400 lbs, and weighs 80 lbs.

ELEVATE is commercial fitness equipment for gyms, studios, and home training. RS Recovery is clinical rehab equipment for physical therapy clinics, sports medicine, and hospital outpatient departments. Both use the same incline bodyweight resistance principle. The RS line adds clinical-grade construction for all-day institutional use, motorized adjustment (on the Power Tower), and compatibility with Total Gym's clinical accessory library.

The ELEVATE Row is the only incline rowing machine that combines strength training with cardio rowing. Standard rowers (Concept2, WaterRower) are cardio-only. You pull against a flywheel or water resistance. The ELEVATE Row uses an inclined glideboard to add progressive bodyweight resistance to every stroke. You build muscle while doing cardio. The Row ADJ adds adjustable arm positions for more grip variety.

The ELEVATE Encompass Pilates Package performs Pilates reformer-style movements (footwork, long stretch, short box) using incline bodyweight resistance instead of springs. It's not a traditional Pilates reformer. For studios that blend Pilates movement with strength and cardio, it covers significant overlap. For classical Pilates instruction, a dedicated reformer is still the better fit. The Pilates Package also supports 250+ non-Pilates exercises, making it more versatile than a standalone reformer for mixed-use facilities.

Yes. The ELEVATE series is built for commercial facilities. Planet Fitness uses the ELEVATE Core ADJ as a standard core station. The entire line is rated for daily high-volume use with commercial warranties (5-year frame, 1-year moving parts). The ELEVATE Circuit and Super Circuit packages are designed specifically for group training floor setups. All ELEVATE machines handle users up to 400 lbs.

The RS Recovery Series is purpose-built for clinical rehabilitation. The RS Encompass handles 200+ exercises covering upper body, lower body, core, balance, and functional movement. The RS LEX is designed for lower extremity rehab (ACL, knee replacement, ankle reconstruction). Closed-chain bodyweight resistance is joint-friendly and allows precise loading progression from early post-surgical rehab through return-to-sport.

Total Gym makes 16 current models split across two series. Individual ELEVATE stations are the entry point for facility build-outs and home setups. Encompass full-body machines and RS clinical units cover mid-tier needs. Multi-station Circuit and Super Circuit packages are the top of the line for full facilities. Pricing on each model is shown on the linked product pages above. For volume quotes, package configurations, or commercial financing, call 866-861-6317.

No. The XLS, FIT, GTS, XTREME, and similar consumer-grade models are no longer in current production from Total Gym. The current lineup is the ELEVATE Series (commercial fitness, 11 models) and the RS Recovery Series (clinical rehab, 5 models). All current models are built for commercial use with stronger frames, higher weight capacities, and commercial warranties. If you've used an older Total Gym at home, the closest current equivalent for general full-body training is the ELEVATE Encompass.
