                      Harvia is a Finnish maker of electric and wood-burning sauna heaters, one of the largest in the world. The range covers small plug-in units for a closet-sized sauna up to combi heaters that make both dry heat and steam. RecovAthlete is an authorized Harvia dealer since 2023.

                      How to Choose a Harvia Heater by Sauna Size

                      Match heater output to your room volume. As a rough guide you need about 1 kW for every 45 to 50 cubic feet of well-insulated space, and more for glass or stone walls. Some Harvia heaters have built-in controls, others need a separate controller. A licensed electrician handles the wiring.

                      Which Harvia heater fits my sauna?

                      Use about 1 kW per 45 to 50 cubic feet of well-insulated space, more for glass or stone. The Vega Compact suits small rooms, the Cilindro and Spirit suit standard home saunas, and the Virta Combi adds steam.

                      What is a combi heater?

                      A combi heater makes both dry sauna heat and steam from one unit, with a built-in water reservoir. The Harvia Virta Combi runs four session modes so you can switch between dry and steam.

                      Do Harvia heaters include a controller?

                      Some do. The KIP and Cilindro Half listed here have built-in controls. Others need a separate controller. Check the listing or call us to confirm.
