What Is In This Collection

RecovAthlete carries seventeen hot tubs in two quite different builds. Fourteen are acrylic shell spas from Luxury Spas, seating two to seven, all of them hardwired. Three are wood fired cedar and spruce soaking tubs from SaunaLife, seating up to six or seven, with no electrical connection at all. There is no third category here. We do not currently stock a swim spa, and no tub in this range has a swim current or resistance current, so if that is what you came for, this is not the page for it.

The single most useful thing to settle before you shop is the electrical requirement, because it decides your install cost as much as the tub does. Every figure below is taken from the manufacturer copy published on each product page. Where a product page does not state something, this page says so.

The Electrical Requirement, Settled First

None of the fourteen acrylic spas plugs into a standard household outlet. Every one of them requires a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician before delivery. The product pages are explicit about this. If you have been shopping 120V plug and play tubs elsewhere, nothing in this collection is one, and a tub arriving before the circuit is in is the most common delay we see.

The three SaunaLife wood fired tubs are a separate case. They are not 120V plug and play either. They have no electrical connection whatsoever, no jets, no pump, no filtration and no control panel. Heat comes from an integrated stainless steel wood burning stove. That removes the electrician entirely and it also removes the jets, which is the trade the next section is about.

Ordered by price. Jet count is not the whole story: the Cashmere is the smallest and lowest jet tub in the range but it is a face to face dual lounge built for two, which is a different product from a six seat family tub with the same heater. Pump configuration varies more than the table can show. The Savannah, Danika, Victoria, Infinity and Tahoe publish dual pumps, and the Danika and Infinity add a separate air bubble pump on top.

Wood Fired Hot Tubs Compared

The two S4 listings are the same tub under two product records, so pick either and call if you want the difference confirmed. Both publish 304 gallons, a 79 in exterior diameter and 595 lb empty. The S6B is the larger tub at 436 gallons and an 89 in exterior diameter, ships assembled by curbside freight, and publishes a 106 in chimney. All three use a 304 stainless steel stove with dual heat compartments and take firewood up to sixteen inches. SaunaLife does not publish warranty terms on any of the three, so confirm those by call before you order.

What Is Not Published

Water capacity in gallons is not published on the Largo, Regal, Denali or Danika. Dry weight is not published on the Largo, Regal or Danika. Exact wattage is not published on the Regal, Danika or Tahoe, and exact amperage is not confirmed on the Eclipse or Denali. No acrylic model in this collection publishes a salt water sanitation system, and none publishes a waterfall, although the Victoria and Infinity both publish pop up water fountains. Bluetooth is published as standard on the Largo, Casey, Eclipse, Denali, Oscar, Danika, Infinity and Victoria, listed as model dependent on the Cashmere, Regal, Estes and Savannah, and the Tahoe page states there is no Bluetooth in its standard configuration.

Two product pages contradict themselves and we would rather flag that than paper over it. The Oscar page states a single multi speed pump in one place and two 2.5 HP pumps in another, gives two different sets of exterior dimensions, and names both a titanium and a stainless steel heater. The SaunaLife S4 page names Thermo Spruce in the body and Thermo Pine in the spec table. Call 866-861-6317 and we will get the manufacturer's answer in writing before you order either.
