    Description

SaunaLife Model S2NC: 2-Person Cold Plunge Package With AP-1 Chiller and Heater

The SaunaLife S2NC pairs the 200-gallon, two-person Model S2N natural Thermo-Pine immersion tub with the AP-1 chiller and heater. It holds water anywhere from 37°F to 107°F, for cold immersion or heated soaking. A cold plunge with a chiller is a cold water immersion tub with a refrigeration unit that cools and filters continuously, so it holds a set temperature instead of warming up like an ice bath. One tub supports both cold immersion and heated soaking. The AP-1 runs on a standard 110 to 120V GFCI-protected circuit, uses an ozone generator and external filter, and can be controlled through an LCD touchscreen, a Wi-Fi app, or an LED remote.

The S2NC is the natural Thermo-Pine version of the S2BC package. Core dimensions, capacity, controls, and chiller performance are the same. The wood is left in its natural tone rather than painted, which suits a cedar deck, a garden setting, or a room where the tub sits next to natural-wood cabinetry. The tub is oval, 74.4 by 46 inches at its widest points, with a shaped gray fiberglass interior sized for two adults. It arrives fully assembled with foundation beams and two-tier wooden steps. Session length depends on experience, water temperature, and individual health. Begin with short exposures and increase gradually. People who are pregnant or who have cardiovascular, circulation, or other relevant medical conditions should consult a qualified healthcare professional before cold immersion.

    Site requirements before you order

    • Surface. Level concrete slab, patio, or properly prepared paver base able to carry the 2,021 lb filled weight plus bathers. Raised decks and upper floors need structural approval.
    • Power. A 110 to 120V GFCI-protected receptacle on a manufacturer-specified circuit, within reach of the chiller. No 240V circuit or hardwiring is required. Confirm the required circuit rating with our team before ordering, then have a licensed electrician verify that the intended receptacle and circuit are suitable.
    • Chiller siting. The AP-1 sits alongside the tub and connects through the 3/4 in NPT ports, so allow for its footprint when you place the tub. Keep it protected from direct rain, snow, and prolonged sun while maintaining the manufacturer's ventilation clearance. Do not enclose it or cover it while running.
    • Ambient operating range. 32°F to 113°F. Suitable for garages and protected outdoor areas within that range.
    • Total installed space. The tub is 74.4 by 46 inches. Allow more on top of that for the AP-1, the steps, ventilation clearance, hose connections, servicing access, and safe entry. How much more depends on where the chiller sits, so confirm your layout with our team before ordering. Measure the delivery route as well.
    • Drainage. 1 inch outlet with a ball valve. Plan a suitable drainage route before filling the tub.
    • Finish care. Thermo-Pine is thermally modified for stability and outdoor durability, but its appearance still changes with exposure, and care needs depend on placement and climate. A manufacturer-approved exterior wood treatment can help preserve the warmer tone. Follow SaunaLife care instructions for product type and frequency.
    • Cover. A tub cover is not included unless shown in the package contents. Contact us to confirm compatible cover options. A cover slows heat gain between sessions and keeps debris out.
    • Consumables. Test strips, water treatment, and replacement filters. The Spa Care Essentials 3-Month Maintenance Kit covers a first season.

    What does delivery involve?

Freight in two crates, curbside by appointment. The tub ships on a pallet at 396 lbs and 81.5 x 48 x 47.4 inches, the chiller separately. The driver lowers the crates to ground level and stops there, so indoor placement needs your own help or a paid add-on. Because the tub arrives fully assembled, check gate, doorway, hallway, and turning clearances against the shipping dimensions before you order. Freight is quoted separately, lead time is confirmed with SaunaLife before you order, and white glove delivery options are available at additional cost. If a crate arrives damaged, photograph it, note it on the paperwork before signing, and call us. We file the freight claim and coordinate the appropriate repair, replacement part, or replacement shipment.

    Model S2NC Package questions

What is the difference between the S2NC and the S2BC?

The packages share the same dimensions, capacity, seating, stairs, and AP-1 chiller. The difference is the exterior finish: natural Thermo-Pine on the S2NC, Black Thermo-Pine on the S2BC.

How cold does it get, and how long does it take?

Down to 37°F, held at whatever you set rather than drifting warmer the way ice does. Chill-down time depends on starting water and surrounding air temperature, so SaunaLife publishes cooling capacity rather than a fixed figure. After the initial cool-down the unit cycles to hold your set temperature. Refilling the tub, or restarting it after an extended shutdown, means another cool-down period. If you need water closer to freezing, the 1-person S1NC Package reaches 32.5°F.

Can it go in a garage or outdoors?

Yes, within limits. The tub is built for outdoor use. The AP-1 has a rated ambient operating range of 32°F to 113°F, so a garage or protected patio can suit it. Check what your space actually drops to in winter. The chiller also needs shelter from direct rain, snow, and prolonged sun while keeping its ventilation clearance, so a covered position rather than an enclosure.

Does the natural wood need sealing or staining?

Thermo-Pine is thermally modified for stability and outdoor durability, but its appearance still changes with exposure. Left untreated outdoors it fades toward a silver-gray tone, which some owners prefer. A manufacturer-approved exterior wood treatment can help preserve the warmer tone, and SaunaLife care instructions cover product type and how often to apply it. Choose the black S2BC when a darker exterior better suits the installation.

Is it loud, and how often does the water change?

It runs a compressor and a pump, so site it like a small outdoor air conditioning unit rather than against a bedroom wall. On water, ozone and filtration help maintain quality as it circulates, but change frequency depends on usage, water chemistry, treatment, and filter condition. Test regularly and follow SaunaLife maintenance instructions. Two regular users may require more frequent water changes and filter maintenance.

Can I talk to someone before ordering?

For a purchase this size we recommend speaking with our team first. Call 866-861-6317, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday, or book a 30-minute call. Most conversations cover the same three things: whether your surface and circuit suit the tub, whether 37°F is cold enough for how you train, and whether the natural or black finish suits the space.

SaunaLife Model S2NC: 2-Person Cold Plunge Package With AP-1 Chiller and Heater

The SaunaLife S2NC pairs the 200-gallon, two-person Model S2N natural Thermo-Pine immersion tub with the AP-1 chiller and heater. It holds water anywhere from 37°F to 107°F, for cold immersion or heated soaking. A cold plunge with a chiller is a cold water immersion tub with a refrigeration unit that cools and filters continuously, so it holds a set temperature instead of warming up like an ice bath.

    Buying from RecovAthlete

We are an authorized SaunaLife dealer, so orders, warranty registration, and service run through us rather than a marketplace seller. Pair the S2NC with a SaunaLife barrel sauna on one order, or start with our cold plunge FAQ. Financing is available through Affirm and our equipment finance partners. Call 866-861-6317 for a payment estimate.

Financing for Recovery and Fitness Equipment

Buying for yourself, spread the cost through Affirm at checkout. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, or studio, apply with one of four business lenders and put the whole room on a single application.

RecovAthlete has no control over any financing decision. Approval is based on your creditworthiness and is solely the lender's decision.

    Personal purchase

Affirm at checkout. Rates run 0% to 36% APR based on your credit profile. Soft check to prequalify, so no impact on your score. No prepayment penalty.

    Business purchase

Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, or KWIPPED. Apply with two of the four and compare. Financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm with your accountant.

    Financing by Equipment Category

Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.

    Building a Recovery Room?

Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.

That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.

See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.

Which Lender Should You Apply With?

Lender Type Amount Speed Best for
Affirm Consumer, at checkout Order total Seconds Personal purchases. 0% to 36% APR based on credit. Soft check to prequalify.
Brickhouse Capital Direct equipment lender Up to $250K on a one-page application, $1M+ with financials ~24 hours A full room or a full floor. Credit decisions made in-house. Tied to the business, not your personal credit report.
Reliant Capital Lender and broker Up to $500K application-only, $5M with financials 2 to 4 hours Medical, aesthetic, and wellness. Deferred payment options. New or used equipment.
Acorn Finance Lending marketplace $1,000 to $100,000 60 seconds to prequalify Comparing offers. One application goes to 30 or more lenders with no impact to your score.
KWIPPED (APPROVE) Lender marketplace Minimum $1,500 equipment value 60-second application Larger commercial orders. Lenders compete, which usually returns the best APR. Businesses only.

Apply with two of the four and compare. It costs nothing and the spread between offers is often significant.

    Financing Questions

    What are Affirm's rates?

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.

Can I finance equipment for a business?

Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.

Should I finance each machine separately?

No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?

Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.

Can freight and installation be financed?

Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.

    Can I pay off early?

Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

    Not sure which option fits?

Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.
