Saunalife Barrel Sauna

For most buyers, choosing a SaunaLife barrel sauna comes down to three things: size, front-wall style, and heater. Every SaunaLife barrel sauna for sale here is built from 1.65 inch Thermo-Spruce with contoured Thermo-Aspen benches, and the range runs 51 to 87 inches of interior length.

Which one? Two bathers and a tight yard, look at the Model E6. Four seats, the Model E7 at 63 inches inside. Six seats, the Model E8. Heaters are sold separately: a wood-burning stove needs no wiring, an electric one needs a dedicated 240V circuit and an electrician.

Not sure which size fits? RecovAthlete is an authorized SaunaLife dealer, rated 4.8 on Google. Call 866-861-6317 and we will size the barrel and the heater with you, or check financing first.

SaunaLife barrel sauna models: ERGO E-Series and Ergo Elegance

A SaunaLife barrel sauna is an outdoor sauna kit built from 1.65 inch Thermo-Spruce staves, with contoured Thermo-Aspen benches, stainless steel bands and a shingled roof. We stock 10 SaunaLife barrel saunas for sale across two lines, inside a wider sauna and barrel sauna range. The ERGO E-Series sets barrel length by seat count. The Ergo Elegance EE-Series adds a full tempered glass front wall. Every model arrives as a DIY kit that two people assemble in about a day. The heater is bought separately, so you pick electric or wood-burning.

ERGO E-Series (E6, E7, E8)

Same 77 inch interior diameter and 6 foot 5 inch standing height on all three. Length is what changes: 51, 63 or 78.5 inches inside. Bench depth 17.8 inches.

Ergo Elegance (EE6G, EE8G)

Glass-front trim on the same build. The EE6G is the wide one at 87 inches inside with a 20.5 inch bench and 8mm tempered glass front wall.

Three front and rear wall options

Solid rear wall is the base build. A rear window adds light and a view of the yard. A glass front wall replaces the whole facade with tempered glass.

What is in the kit

Staves, benches, cradles, bronze tempered glass door, stainless bands, black shingle roof kit, dual floor drains, intake and exhaust vents, Wi-Fi LED light bar, 2 spare staves, fastener kit and paraffin oil.

What the install actually needs

Electric heater: a dedicated circuit

The common pairings are a Harvia KIP 8kW or HUUM DROP 7.5kW. Both draw 31 to 33 amps at 240V and need 8 gauge wire on a dedicated 40 or 50 amp circuit. Budget for a licensed electrician.

Wood-burning: no electrical run

A Harvia M3 or HUUM HIVE HEAT kit ships with chimney and floor protection, so you skip the trench and the panel work. You need firewood and roof clearance instead.

A level base

The spruce cradles sit on whatever you prepare: compacted gravel, pavers or a slab. Level matters more than material. Dual floor drains cover water if the barrel settles slightly off level.

Delivery and handling

These crate between roughly 1,100 and 1,550 lbs. Delivery is curbside freight, billed as a separate line on the order. Plan two people and a path to the pad.

Which SaunaLife barrel is right for you

Smallest footprint

Two regular bathers and a tight side yard. The Model E6 is 59 inches long outside, the shortest barrel in the range.

Small barrel, view of the yard

Same shell with a rear window cut in. The Model E6W suits a barrel that faces a garden or a treeline.

The common home pick

Four seats without going to a 7 foot barrel. The Model E7 is the middle length in the E-Series at 63 inches inside.

Glass front on a 4 seater

The Model E7G swaps the front facade for tempered glass. Pick it when the barrel is the thing you look at from the house.

Family or a small group

Six seats and 78.5 inches inside. The Model E8 is the size to buy if two people ever sit at full length.

Six seats, full glass wall

The Model E8G pairs the longest barrel with the glass front. It is also the heaviest in the range at 1,544 lbs.

Widest interior, deepest bench

The Model EE6G runs an 87 inch interior diameter and a 20.5 inch bench. You stand up straight and sit back further.

Top of the range

The Model EE8G is the Elegance build on the long shell, with a 6 foot 7 inch interior height. Call to confirm its exact dimensions before you pour a base.

Why buy your SaunaLife barrel sauna from RecovAthlete

Rated 4.8 on Google · Authorized SaunaLife dealer since 2023 · Equipping backyards, studios and clinics

Turned down for financing somewhere else? That is usually where we start. SaunaLife pricing is set by the manufacturer. The real question is who gets you approved, who answers the phone, and who is still there when the pallet lands.

More lenders, more approvals

We run several lending partners for home and commercial buyers, including a Canadian option, so a no from one lender is not a no from us.

A specialist who knows the range

Call 866-861-6317, Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm EST. We spec the heater and the circuit with you before you order.

We carry the heaters too

Electric and wood-burning heaters from Harvia and HUUM are in stock here, so the barrel and the stove are matched on one order.

We stay on after delivery

We coordinate the freight appointment, send the install manual ahead of the truck, and follow up once the barrel is built, rather than stopping when it ships.

Common questions

Does a SaunaLife barrel sauna come with a heater?
No. The heater is bought separately so you can choose electric or wood-burning. Most SaunaLife barrels take an 8kW or 9kW electric heater, or a wood-burning stove kit with chimney. Call 866-861-6317 and we will match one to your model.
What electrical does the sauna need?
A wood-burning stove needs none. An electric heater in this range draws 31 to 33 amps at 240V and needs 8 gauge wire on a dedicated 40 or 50 amp circuit, wired by a licensed electrician. The LED lighting runs on a 120V, 90W supply.
How long does assembly take?
SaunaLife rates the ERGO and Elegance barrels as a one day, two person DIY build with basic tools. The roof kit and the fastener kit are in the box. No installer is required.
What does the barrel sit on?
A level base you prepare in advance: compacted gravel, pavers or a concrete slab. The spruce cradles carry the load. Two floor drains inside handle splash water and any minor settling.
Can I use it through winter?
Yes. The barrels are built for year round outdoor use, with 1.65 inch Thermo-Spruce staves and a shingled roof with side drip edges for rain and snow. Heat-up time is longer in cold weather.
What is the difference between the E-Series and the Ergo Elegance?
The E-Series sets length by seat count and offers a solid rear wall, a rear window or a glass front. The Elegance models are glass-front builds, and the EE6G uses a wider 87 inch interior diameter with a deeper 20.5 inch bench.
