The Riley is the most compact spa in the Luxury Spas lineup at 77 inch by 52 inch by 31 inch and 370 lbs dry. Two lounge seats, 26 jets, a 3 HP multi-speed pump, and a 3 kW titanium heater. The differentiator: it runs on a 240V 20-amp circuit (not the 50-amp typical of larger spas), which lowers electrical install cost significantly. Cloud grey shell.
The Riley runs on a 240V 20-amp circuit (4500W rated). Lower than the 50A circuit typical for larger spas. Wired by a licensed electrician. Does not plug into a standard 120V outlet. Lower electrical install cost than larger spas, but still requires a dedicated 240V breaker. If you are unsure your panel can support a new 240V 20A breaker, send us a photo of your breaker panel before you order. We confirm in under 24 hours.
Smaller backyards or patios where a 77 inch by 52 inch footprint fits. Buyers who want a 3-person spa with two lounge seats (the rare config at this size). Cost-conscious buyers benefiting from a 20A install vs the 50A typical for larger spas. Apartments with patio access if landlord allows a dedicated 240V circuit.
Buyers wanting maximum jet count (26 is moderate. Casey 47 or Estes 52 deliver more). Buyers wanting the fastest heat recovery (3 kW heater is slower to reheat than the 5.5 kW heaters in larger spas. Plan a session before the water cools too far). Renters without dedicated 240V access. Buyers who need same-week delivery. Lead time is 2 to 4 weeks.
The Riley is the entry point for buyers who want a real hard-shell hot tub but cannot accommodate (or do not want to pay for) a 50-amp circuit install. The 20-amp install is significantly cheaper to wire, since most existing electrical panels can support an additional 20A 240V breaker without a service upgrade.
Two lounge seats in a 3-person footprint is also unusual. Most compact spas give you one lounge plus open seating. The Riley gives both primary users a lounge.
| Spec | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| 26 hydrotherapy jets | Moderate jet count. Coverage across two lounge seats and one open seat. Lower count than larger spas, but appropriate for the footprint. |
| 3 HP multi-speed motor | Single pump runs all 26 jets at full pressure. Multi-speed allows lower flow for circulation between sessions. |
| 3 kW titanium heater | Titanium element resists corrosion from hot tub chemistry. Lower wattage than larger spas (which use 5.5 kW). Reheats slower if water drops significantly between sessions. |
| 240V 20A circuit (4500W rated) | Lower electrical install cost than the 50A typical for larger spas. Most existing breaker panels can add a 20A 240V breaker without a service upgrade. Still requires a licensed electrician for the 240V install. |
| Balboa control system | OEM industry-standard control pack. Replacement parts are stocked at hot tub service shops nationwide. Not proprietary to one brand. |
| Ozone sterilization plus filtration | Reduces how much chlorine or bromine you need to add. Means less chemical smell and fewer fills. |
| Two cushioned lounge seats | Rare in a 3-person compact spa. Both primary users get a full lounge position. |
| Cloud grey shell, 77 by 52 by 31 inch | Small footprint fits patios where a full-size spa won't. Cloud grey hides water-line debris better than pearl white. |

Ships freight from the US warehouse. Lead time typically 2 to 4 weeks to the dock plus 5 to 10 business days for curbside delivery. Curbside delivery is standard. The crate is dropped at the end of your driveway. White-glove placement to backyard or pad is available as a paid add-on. Ask for a quote based on access and ZIP. Final placement and electrical hookup is on the buyer. You will need a level concrete pad or engineered deck rated for filled spa weight plus a dedicated 240V 20A circuit from a licensed electrician. Delivery appointment confirmed 48 hours before arrival. Inspect the crate on delivery and note any damage on the bill of lading before signing.
The Riley uses a smaller 3 kW heater (vs the 5.5 kW heater in larger spas) and a 3 HP pump, which keeps total wattage at 4500W. That allows a 20A 240V circuit instead of the typical 50A. Most existing breaker panels can add a 20A breaker without a service upgrade, lowering electrical install cost significantly vs larger spas.
The 3 kW heater reheats water more slowly than the 5.5 kW heater in larger spas. Practical effect: if you let the water drop significantly between sessions (cover off, cold weather), it takes longer to come back to temperature. With the cover on and proper insulation, the heater maintains setpoint without issue. Plan a session before water has dropped more than a few degrees if you want immediate use.
A level concrete pad, engineered deck rated for filled spa weight (Riley filled is roughly 1,800 lbs), or a commercial spa pad. Lighter than larger spas, so deck options are more flexible. Talk to your contractor if your deck is uncertain.
Typically 3 to 6 weeks total: 2 to 4 weeks production and shipping, 5 to 10 days curbside delivery, plus the time to run your electrical and fill the tub. The 20A install is faster than a 50A install (less wire, smaller breaker), so total install time is shorter.
Check sanitizer levels weekly, rinse filters monthly, drain and refill every 3 to 4 months depending on use. Plan a recurring chemical and filter budget. Ozone sterilization cuts chemical use vs chlorine-only setups. Smaller water volume (165 gallons) means lower chemical use per refill vs larger spas.
