Total Gym ELEVATE Press: A Commercial Shoulder Press Machine That Starts at 15% of Body Weight

A member kneels on the glideboard, takes the handles at the low end of the rails and lies down. Then they press up the rails until their arms are straight. The Total Gym ELEVATE Press turns the shoulder press upside down. It has 7 incline levels and a 400 lb user rating.

It is the pressing station in the ELEVATE line of Total Gym commercial fitness equipment. Total Gym designs and intends it for commercial use.

What the ELEVATE Press Fixes on a Training Floor

Bar too heavy for new members? Level 1 loads 15% of body weight, the lightest setting.
Members wary of overhead pressing? They press lying in an inverted position, with no bar or plates above the head.
Strong members outgrow it? Level 7 loads 50% of body weight, and the station allows plyometric presses.
Need a push-up progression? The same station runs a decline push-up at the level you select.
Members train without a coach? A placard on the machine shows each move, with a QR code to exercise videos.

Important: the ELEVATE Press bolts to the floor

Total Gym requires the station to be anchored to the floor. Bolts are not in the box, so plan the anchors before delivery.

Seven Incline Levels on the ELEVATE Press

Each level raises the rails and the share of body weight a member lifts. Level 1 is 15%, level 4 is 35% and level 7 is 50%. The incline release lever sets the level, and the FAQ tab gives the steps.

Space, Power and Delivery

In use, the ELEVATE Press measures 66 x 39 x 41 inches and covers 14 square feet. Resistance comes from body weight on the incline, and the owner's guide lists no power connection.

It ships in one box of 71.5 x 21 x 13.5 inches at 130 lbs. Total Gym warrants the frame for 5 years on US commercial terms. Care is a daily wipe-down, plus weekly and monthly checks.
