Other pressure configurations exist, but check with us for feasibility before you order. The ceiling is built into the chamber, so it is not a setting you can raise later. ATA stands for atmospheres absolute. One ATA is the air pressure at sea level, so a 2.0 ATA hyperbaric chamber holds twice that, 100 kPa above the room, about the pressure you would feel 33 feet under water. Soft shell chambers stop at roughly 1.3 to 1.5 ATA because fabric cannot hold more, so 2.0 ATA hyperbaric chambers are all hard shell. The Quest36 2.0 build adjusts from 1.4 to 2.0 ATA on thicker steel. Which pressure suits you is a decision to take with your physician.

Soft chambers are TPU fabric over a frame, and they run mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy at about 1.3 to 1.5 ATA. You enter through a zipper at floor level and the shell changes shape as it inflates. The Quest36 is welded stainless steel with polycarbonate windows, so the cabin is the same shape at rest and under pressure, and the 2.0 ATA build goes where no fabric chamber can. Zips, seams and fabric are also the parts that fail first on a soft chamber, and none of them exist here.

OxyRevo sizes the 36 inch cabin for one adult, or an adult with a child. That is the practical difference the extra six inches buys over the Quest30. Two adults is a different question, and so is the oxygen supply once there are two people breathing, since the chamber ships with a single 10 L concentrator. No. The 10 L concentrator inside the operating unit makes the oxygen supply on site, 90 to 97% pure oxygen, and runs continuously while the chamber is on. There are no cylinders to store, refill or pay for. If you want more flow, the 20L concentrator upgrade replaces it before the unit ships.

Above 68°F, yes. The two cooling machines in the operating unit pull humidity out and drop the cabin temperature, but they work against whatever the room is doing. A cool room means a comfortable 90 minute session. A warm one will not.

It runs at 50 dB or under, roughly a quiet conversation or a fridge in the next room. The noise comes from the all-in-one unit rather than the cabin, since that is where the compressor and the two cooling machines sit. OxyRevo suggests 60 to 120 minutes, and the built-in timer runs to 120 minutes with a buzzer at the end. How long and how often you should use a hyperbaric chamber is a question for your physician, not for us.

The cabin reaches your set pressure in about 12 minutes, at which point the automatic relief valves hold it there. Coming back down takes about 5 to 10 minutes after you unscrew the deflate valve. The door will not open until the gauge reads 0 kPa, so budget roughly 20 minutes on top of your session time.

OxyRevo describes the sensation as similar to a plane taking off and landing, and says it is normal. The manual suggests chewing gum, yawning, or pinching your nose and blowing gently against a closed mouth until the pressure settles. You can also slow the climb using the internal deflate valve. Long socks and stockings should come off. Disposable foot and hair covers are fine to use, and clinics often do. Use the bathroom and drink your water before you get in, because a session runs an hour or two and the door stays shut until the chamber is back to zero.

Yes. The manual allows electronic products and drinks inside the chamber. Most people read, work or sleep through a session. The internal reading light and the phone handset mean you do not have to come out to see what you are doing or to speak to someone in the room.

The power failure safety system depressurizes the chamber in a controlled sequence, and the door lowers only once the pressure is released. The emergency relief valve is also operable from inside the cabin, so a user who is asleep or alone is not depending on someone outside.

No. The door opens only when the gauge reads 0 kPa. Working the other way, the smart door sensor stops the chamber from pressurizing until the door is fully closed, and indicator lights inside and outside turn green to confirm the seal.
