Choosing the Apex36
How does the Apex36 compare to other soft chambers?
The Apex36 is OxyRevo's roomiest soft chamber, 90 cm (36 inches) across, at a true 1.5 ATA adjustable from 1.2. It has more room than the Apex32 and Elite models, and costs less than a hard 2.0 ATA chamber. See the side-by-side table on the Comparison tab.
Is 1.5 ATA enough, or should I get a 2.0 ATA chamber?
Soft chambers like the Apex36 reach 1.5 ATA. Hard chambers reach 2.0. Home and wellness users often choose 1.5 ATA for comfort, lower cost, and easy setup. If you specifically need 2.0 ATA, look at the OxyRevo Quest36 hard chamber. Ask your physician which pressure suits you.
What is the difference between the Pro and Standard kits?
The Pro kit is one all-in-one cabinet: compressor, 10L oxygen concentrator, two coolers, anion, air purifier, and timer, run from one press. The Standard kit is three separate machines you set up and control on your own. Pro is simplest to use; Standard is lighter to move and costs less to ship. Full specs are on the Specifications tab.

Do I need a session fee like a clinic charges?
No. The Apex36 is a chamber you own, so there is no per-session cost. Clinic HBOT visits are charged per session, which is why many buyers move to a home chamber. Run it as often as your physician advises, at no added charge.
Is it legal to own a hyperbaric chamber at home?
Soft mild hyperbaric chambers like the Apex36 are sold for personal wellness use in the US and Canada. Some regions ask for a prescription; others do not. Check your local rules before you order, and ask us if you are unsure.
Size, setup, and solo use
Is it big enough for a larger user, or a parent and child?
Yes. At 230 cm long and 90 cm (36 inches) wide, it takes one adult comfortably, or an adult plus a child. The seven windows and wide curved zipper keep it open and easy to enter.
Can I set it up and run it by myself?
Yes. The dual YKK zippers, pressure gauges, and emergency valve all work from inside the chamber, so one person can enter, pressurize, and exit without help. The internal frame holds the shape while you set up.
How loud is it?
The Apex36 runs at ≤50 dB, about as quiet as a home refrigerator. The automatic relief valves are built to spread airflow and cut noise, so you can read, rest, or sleep during a session.
Using it
How long is a session, and how long to reach pressure?
The manufacturer recommends 60 to 90 minutes per session. The chamber takes about 8 to 10 minutes to build to 1.5 ATA, then automatic valves hold the pressure. Ask your physician how often to use it.
What maintenance does it need?
Wipe the interior with a damp or antibacterial cloth and run it under pressure for 20 minutes until dry. Replace the activated carbon cotton filters every 6 to 12 months, depending on how often you use it. Use separate masks when more than one person shares the chamber.
Do my ears feel the pressure?
When pressure rises, your ears may feel it, like a plane taking off. Chewing, swallowing, or a gentle pinch-and-blow clears it, and it eases as the pressure settles. The 1.2 to 1.5 ATA range lets you start low so the change is gentle.
Safety and warranty
Who should not use a hyperbaric chamber?
OxyRevo lists these as reasons not to use the chamber: pregnancy, severe infectious disease, bad colds, pneumothorax, severe emphysema, hypertension over 160/100, and severe heart problems. This is the manufacturer's list. Check with your physician before you start.
Is the Apex36 FDA cleared?
OxyRevo chambers are CE certified. They are not FDA cleared. The Apex36 is intended for mild hyperbaric use and is not FDA-evaluated for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease. General wellness use is considered off-label. Talk to your physician about whether it fits your situation.
What warranty and support come with it?
The Apex36 carries a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery against faulty materials or workmanship when properly operated. Because RecovAthlete is an authorized dealer, that warranty holds, and we back it with setup guidance and lifetime support.

Financing Questions
What are Affirm's rates?
Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Can I finance equipment for a business?
Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.
Should I finance each machine separately?
No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.
Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Can freight and installation be financed?
Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.
Can I pay off early?
Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

FDA STATUS
OxyRevo chambers are CE certified and UKCA verified, but not FDA cleared for medical use in the United States. They are designed for wellness and recovery applications. If you need an FDA cleared chamber, call us and we will point you to the models that carry that clearance.
Full FDA and medical disclaimer
The FDA clears soft chambers only up to 1.3 ATA for altitude sickness. Using any chamber for wellness or recovery is off-label use: legal, but not FDA evaluated. Chambers at 1.4 to 2.0 ATA are typically Class II devices requiring a prescription and PVHO-1 compliance in the U.S.

CE certification (issued by Ente Certificazione Macchine, Italy) covers European machinery, electrical and pressure equipment safety rules.
