Newtowne Long Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber: Full-Length Seated Home HBOT for Taller Users

The Newtowne Long Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber extends the Shoe design to accommodate taller adults who need more leg room during sessions. Like the standard C4-Shoe, it uses a reclined-seat geometry — you sit inside with your legs extended forward in the chamber body — but the Long Shoe adds length so users up to 6’5″ and beyond can stretch out fully without touching the end. It is FDA-cleared, manufactured in the USA, and built with the same medical-grade nylon and safety zipper system used across the entire Newtowne C4 line. Prescription required.

Newtowne Long Shoe Hyperbaric Chamber For Comfortable HBOT Treatment
✓ Authorized Newtowne Hyperbarics Dealer — RecovAthlete
Important — Read Before Ordering
  • Prescription required — A physician or chiropractor prescription is needed to purchase this chamber. See the prescription section below. Dr. Garry Warner offers telehealth HBOT consults: (303) 915-4813.
  • Oxygen concentrator sold separately — This chamber ships with oxygen delivery tubing but does not include a concentrator. A compatible 10 LPM @ 20 PSI prescription oxygen concentrator must be sourced separately.
  • Lead time — Newtowne chambers typically ship within 1–2 weeks. Call 866-861-6317 to confirm availability before ordering.
Best For
  • Taller adults who found the standard C4-Shoe too short for their legs
  • Users who prefer a reclined-seated posture over lying fully horizontal
  • Buyers with limited floor space who cannot accommodate a full cylindrical chamber
  • Clinics that want a seated HBOT option that fits users of all heights
Not Ideal For
  • Users who want to lie fully flat — the C4-40 is built for that
  • Two-person sessions — Shoe-design chambers are single-user
  • Average-height users who don't need the extended length — the standard C4-Shoe is sufficient
Why RecovAthlete Carries Newtowne

Newtowne is the only major hyperbaric chamber brand manufacturing in the United States — every competing brand at this price tier is built in China. After 20+ years in production, Newtowne's track record of zero safety incidents, FDA clearance, and direct US factory support separates it from imported alternatives. We carry Newtowne because buyers who need a chamber for serious daily use need one that holds pressure cleanly, supports their weight comfortably, and lasts years without degradation. Our team helps with prescription referrals, setup guidance, and ongoing support — not just the sale.

Who Typically Buys the Long Shoe

  • Taller athletes and coaches who tried the standard C4-Shoe and needed more leg clearance
  • Home users who want a USA-made seated chamber without the footprint of a 9-foot cylindrical model
  • Buyers with back or posture conditions who are more comfortable in a reclined-seat posture than lying flat for 60–90 minutes
  • Wellness studios that want a second chamber format to offer clients flexibility

What the Long Shoe Delivers

  • Pressurizes to 4 PSI (1.3 ATA) — FDA-cleared mild HBOT level for home wellness use
  • Extended shoe-geometry interior accommodates taller users who need full leg extension
  • Reclined-seated posture reduces back strain during 60–90 minute sessions vs. lying flat in a confined cylinder
  • FDA-cleared Class II medical device — same standing as the full C4 cylindrical line
  • Dual interior and exterior controls — operate the chamber alone without an assistant
  • Compatible with 10 LPM @ 20 PSI prescription oxygen concentrators
  • In-line air filtration and quiet compressor — designed for home use in a standard room

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Long Shoe and the standard C4-Shoe?

Both use the same reclined-seated shoe geometry. The Long Shoe has extended interior length for taller adults who need more leg room. If you are under approximately 6 feet tall, the standard C4-Shoe will typically fit comfortably. Above that, the Long Shoe is worth the difference.

Can I use the Long Shoe if I prefer lying flat?

The Shoe design is built for a reclined-seated posture — legs extended forward inside the chamber body. It is not designed for lying fully horizontal. For a lying-flat session, the cylindrical C4-27, C4-34, or C4-40 is the better fit.

Is a prescription required for the Long Shoe?

Yes. All Newtowne chambers require a physician or chiropractor prescription. Dr. Garry Warner offers telehealth HBOT consults at (303) 915-4813 with a consult fee.

What warranty is included?

2-year standard warranty on material defects and workmanship. Extended to 5 years available at purchase.

Disclaimer: This chamber is intended for mild hyperbaric oxygen sessions for general wellness purposes only. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Consult your licensed healthcare provider before beginning any hyperbaric therapy. Results vary. Prescription required for purchase.

Our Commitment

At RecovAthlete, we believe in full transparency. We share this so you know exactly how our equipment fits within U.S. and international standards.

OxyRevo Certifications

OxyRevo chambers meet globally recognized safety and quality benchmarks for non-medical wellness use:

  • Israeli Standard: National safety and performance compliance.
  • TÜV Certified: German inspection for quality and safety.

Note: OxyRevo chambers are not FDA-cleared for medical use in the United States. They are designed for wellness and recovery applications.

FDA Compliance Overview

Some recovery products on our site are FDA-cleared; others are FDA-registered or not evaluated by the FDA.

  • FDA-Cleared: Reviewed and approved for specific medical claims.
  • FDA-Registered: Manufacturer has notified the FDA of the product’s existence — this does not mean approval or endorsement.

Hyperbaric Chambers & Off-Label Use

  • The FDA only clears soft chambers up to 1.3 ATA for altitude sickness.
  • Using them for wellness, athletic recovery, or chronic issues is off-label use — legal, but not FDA-evaluated for those purposes.
  • Chambers at 1.4–2.0 ATA (hard-shell units) are typically Class II medical devices requiring a prescription and PVHO-1 compliance in the U.S.
