OxyRevo Forward90 MINI 1.4 to 1.5 ATA Portable Sitting Hyperbaric Chamber

The cabin length is the whole of it. The MINI inflates to 66 inches long against the standard Forward90 at 90 inches, and both share the 47 inch width and height. Weight is 15 kg / 30 lbs on both, both offer 1.4 and 1.5 ATA versions, both carry four multi-layered windows and the adjustable folding chair, both are rated 50 dB or under, and both come in the four cover colours with the same Pro or Standard unit. OxyRevo even ships one manual set for the pair, which tells you how closely the two are related.

We would rather not overstate it. Lying flat is something OxyRevo markets for the 90 inch standard Forward90, which has the length for it. The MINI runs 66 inches, and OxyRevo publishes neither an interior length nor a lie-flat claim for it, so we describe it as a seated or reclined chamber and leave it there. If a fully flat position is what you are after, the standard Forward90 or an Elite lying chamber is the better buy.

Plan on one. The two-person figure OxyRevo quotes, with the chair removed, applies to the 90 inch standard model, and we are not stretching it to a cabin two feet shorter. Treat the MINI as a single-occupant chamber.

You select the version at checkout, and all that changes is the ceiling of the range. The 1.4 version runs from 1.1 to 1.4 ATA, the 1.5 version from 1.2 to 1.5 ATA, both moved by the same one-press converter and both filled with filtered air. The right pressure for you is a call for your physician. Buyers who think they might want the higher ceiling down the road usually find the 1.5 version cheaper now than a chamber swap later.

It does not, and no soft chamber does. Home soft-shell chambers are engineered to a 1.5 ATA ceiling, and anything higher calls for a hard shell. Inflated, the chamber takes up 66 by 47 inches of floor and stands 47 inches tall. Leave clearance at the zipper end to get in and out, and room to the side for the operating unit, which is 27.56 by 13.78 by 29.53 inches as the Pro cabinet or three separate machines on Standard. The chamber weighs just 30 lbs (15 kg), so one person can move and store it. The heavy piece is the operating unit; the Pro cabinet runs 80 kg and tends to stay put.

Same chamber, different machinery. Standard hands you three units, a compressor, an oxygen concentrator and a cooler, each connected and switched on by itself. Pro combines all three in one cabinet with one-press operation, so setup is cleaner and the footprint smaller. In a tight room, three small units can sometimes tuck away more easily than one 29 inch box, so it is worth walking the space first. Standard is cheaper and lighter to ship, and the full dimensions for both sit in the specification table.

Not very. OxyRevo estimates 30 to 40 minutes for first assembly, no special tools, and most of that is joining the tubing and cables between the operating unit and the chamber. Black, Blue, Grey and White are the four covers at checkout, with Grey as the default. Studios or clinics that need the chamber matched to their own scheme can request OEM colours.

US orders generally land in about 2 to 3 weeks, production and transit included, and tracking goes out once the chamber leaves the warehouse. International shipments take longer, around 40 to 50 days, since they add freight and customs clearance. You choose between two delivery levels. Standard Delivery leaves the crated chamber at your address for you to unload, uncrate and move. White Glove Delivery and Chamber Education has the team do the unloading, setup and cleanup, then walk you through running the chamber.

You get the chamber, the operating unit for your chosen version, and the adjustable folding chair, along with an oxygen mask, standard and spare filters, fuses, air and oxygen tubing, and the power cable. Compressor filters are the only part on a set schedule, changed every 6 to 12 months depending on use. Because the concentrator makes oxygen continuously, there are no tanks to refill. It is rated at 50 dB or under, about the hush of a quiet room, so reading or resting through a session is easy, which matters if the chamber sits in a spare bedroom near someone. Cooling comes either way: the Pro cabinet carries two cooling machines and a water container, the Standard set the ZLA01 air cooler. Both dehumidify and cool, and the Pro is the stronger. With working air conditioning in the room the interior stays comfortable; we would steer clear of long sessions in an unconditioned room in summer.

The user manual puts a session at 60 to 90 minutes. Three to five sessions a week is a common wellness rhythm, but the schedule that suits you is one to settle with your physician. People tend to read, listen to something or rest while inside. We make no claims about outcomes from hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The main thing you feel is in your ears. Pressure shifts as the chamber inflates and deflates, similar to a plane on the way up or down, and a swallow or a yawn clears it. For most people the ears adjust within the first few sessions, which is the reason the converter starts gently at 1.1 or 1.2 ATA depending on your version.

Keep it loose and comfortable. Remove shoes, jewellery and anything sharp before getting in, as those are the things that can nick the cabin. Nothing else is needed.

No. The MINI is designed for owners to install and run, working from inside or outside the cabin, with a pressure gauge, deflate valves and relief valves on both sides of the shell. Whether hyperbaric sessions suit you is a separate question for your physician, particularly with any ear, sinus or lung condition.

It does. OxyRevo's manual advises against use by pregnant women or anyone with severe infectious diseases, bad colds, pneumothorax, severe emphysema, hypertension above 160/100, or severe heart problems, and says children should use it only under adult supervision. That is the manufacturer's own list, not ours.
