BASI Compact Reformer with Tower: Reformer, Tower and Mat Work in a Small-Space Frame

The BASI Systems Compact Reformer with Tower is a space-saving Pilates reformer with a full vertical tower on a compact beech frame. The frame is 81.5" long, 23.6" wide, 12.8" high, and stands 74.9" with the tower and footbar. It ships with 13 springs (5 reformer, 8 tower), a VPS riser pulley, an adjustable push-through bar, a roll-down bar, a Twin Mat Conversion for raised mat work, and four F2 ports. It runs reformer, tower and mat programming in a footprint that fits a spare room or a tight studio floor. If you have a dedicated room and want the studio-standard frame with EPS pulleys and a longer track, buy the full BASI Reformer with Tower instead.

✓ Authorized BASI Systems dealer. Factory warranty and direct manufacturer support on every order. Financing via Affirm, Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital and Acorn Finance. Multi-unit studio pricing: 866-861-6317.

    Best For
    • Home practitioners who want tower work in a small room
    • Small studios fitting more machines into a tight floor plan
    • Instructors who want reformer plus tower without a full-size frame
    • Buyers stepping up from a plain reformer to add push-through and roll-down bar work
    Not Ideal For
    • Anyone who needs the trapeze swing. This tower has none. See the Reformer Combo
    • Rooms under 7 ft ceiling. The tower stands 74.9" before clearance
    • Studios standardizing on the EPS pulley. The Compact uses the simpler VPS riser
    • Buyers with the room for a full frame. The full Reformer with Tower has a longer track and EPS
    Why RecovAthlete Carries This

This is how a small studio or a home practitioner gets tower work without the full-size footprint. It keeps the beech frame, the aircraft-grade aluminum track and the BASI spring system, adds the vertical tower and a Twin Mat Conversion, and does it in a frame 14 inches shorter than the full reformer. The F2 ports mean it is not a dead end.

What the Compact Reformer with Tower Does

    • Reformer, tower and raised mat in one compact frame. The Twin Mat Conversion turns the carriage into a mat platform.
    • VPS riser pulley. Pulleys move to any height on the riser, so rope height fits the client.
    • Adjustable push-through bar and roll-down bar. The core tower spring repertoire, minus the trapeze.
    • 13 springs. 5 on the reformer (3 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue) plus 8 on the tower (2 yellow, 2 long yellow, 2 blue, 2 red).
    • Compact frame. 81.5" long against the full frame's 95.3". Fits rooms a full reformer cannot.
    • Beech frame, aircraft-grade aluminum, hospital-grade vinyl. Quiet carriage, built for repeat use.
    • Four F2 ports. Upgrade later. The frame is not a dead end.

In the box: compact reformer frame, tower, Twin Mat Conversion, foot platform, push-through bar, roll-down bar. 13 springs and 14 carabiners. 2 shoulder rests, 2 rubber handles, 4 double-loop handles, 2 pulleys, 2 ropes, 2 stoppers, 2 locking carabiners, 1 foot strap, 1 leg strap, 1 safety strap. Compact with Tower vs Full Reformer with Tower

Same three modes, smaller frame. Here is what you trade for the footprint.

Dimension Compact with Tower Full Reformer with Tower
    Frame length 81.5" 95.3"
    Carriage width 23.6" 27.5"
    Springs 13 (5 reformer, 8 tower) 13 (5 reformer, 8 tower)
Pulleys VPS riser, height only EPS, height and width, plus 3-level gear bar
Price See top of page $9,950
Best for Small rooms, tight studio floors Dedicated studios, deeper tower spring range
    → Swipe the table sideways

One honest limitation. The Compact has a shorter track, a narrower carriage, and the simpler VPS pulley instead of the EPS and 3-level gear bar. Spring count is the same. If you have the room, the full Reformer with Tower is the better long-term buy. Choose the Compact when floor space is the hard constraint and you still want a real BASI tower setup.

Common Questions About the BASI Compact Reformer with Tower

How is this different from the full Reformer with Tower?

Same three modes, smaller frame. The Compact is 14 inches shorter, has a narrower carriage, and uses the VPS riser pulley instead of the EPS and gear bar. Both carry the same 13 springs. The full BASI Reformer with Tower is the studio-standard frame with the deeper spring range.

Does the tower replace a Cadillac?

Partly. You get the push-through bar and roll-down bar spring work. There is no trapeze swing and no full mat table. For the full classical Cadillac repertoire, see the BASI Cadillac or the Reformer Combo.

What is the Twin Mat Conversion?

Two mats that sit over the carriage and frame, turning the reformer into a raised mat platform. It is included in the box. Mat programming on the same footprint, no second apparatus.

What is the VPS pulley system?

The Vertical Pulley System. Pulleys adjust to any height on the riser, so you set rope height to the client. It is simpler than the EPS on the full frame, which also adjusts width, but it covers standard reformer and tower programming.

What ceiling height do I need?

The tower and footbar stand 74.9" (6 ft 3 in). Plan a minimum 7 ft ceiling, and 8 ft for comfortable overhead work.

    Financing by Equipment Category

Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.

    Building a Recovery Room?

Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.

That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.

See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.

Which Lender Should You Apply With?

Lender Type Amount Speed Best for
Affirm Consumer, at checkout Order total Seconds Personal purchases. 0% to 36% APR based on credit. Soft check to prequalify.
Brickhouse Capital Direct equipment lender Up to $250K on a one-page application, $1M+ with financials ~24 hours A full room or a full floor. Credit decisions made in-house. Tied to the business, not your personal credit report.
Reliant Capital Lender and broker Up to $500K application-only, $5M with financials 2 to 4 hours Medical, aesthetic, and wellness. Deferred payment options. New or used equipment.
Acorn Finance Lending marketplace $1,000 to $100,000 60 seconds to prequalify Comparing offers. One application goes to 30 or more lenders with no impact to your score.
KWIPPED (APPROVE) Lender marketplace Minimum $1,500 equipment value 60-second application Larger commercial orders. Lenders compete, which usually returns the best APR. Businesses only.

Apply with two of the four and compare. It costs nothing and the spread between offers is often significant.

    Financing Questions

    What are Affirm's rates?

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.

Can I finance equipment for a business?

Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.

Should I finance each machine separately?

No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?

Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.

Can freight and installation be financed?

Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.

    Can I pay off early?

Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

    Not sure which option fits?

Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.

    Best For
    • Home practitioners who want tower work in a small room

    Is financing available?

Yes. Affirm, Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital and Acorn Finance are available at checkout. Multi-unit commercial orders: call 866-861-6317.
