BASI Reformer Combo: Reformer, Tower and Cadillac in One Beech Frame

One frame, the whole classical curriculum. The BASI Reformer Combo converts between a Reformer, a Reformer with Tower, and a full Cadillac with trapeze, and the Twin Mat Conversion turns the carriage into a raised mat. Spring anchor points move anywhere on both tower bars instead of dropping into presets, so you set the machine to the client. It is a modular Pilates reformer for studios and clinics that need the complete repertoire but have one apparatus slot to put it in.

✓ RecovAthlete is an authorized dealer for BASI Systems. All orders include factory warranty and direct manufacturer support.

The Promise

The full BASI repertoire normally takes three machines, three footprints and three purchases. Most rooms cannot hold that, and most studios cannot fund it at once. This frame is the alternative: every mode on one beech chassis, in the floor space of a single reformer, with a ceiling requirement lower than a standalone Cadillac.

Why Buy This From RecovAthlete

You can find a cheaper reformer. You cannot buy this one cheaper, because BASI sets the price and every authorized dealer holds it. What changes is what comes with the transaction.

  • We tell you when the Combo is the wrong answer. If you already own a Cadillac, or you have the floor space for two apparatus, buying separately is usually better and we will say so.
  • We check your ceiling and floor plan first. This is a 317 lb made-to-order frame and it is non-returnable.
  • Authorized dealer, so the factory warranty is valid and BASI supports the unit directly. Grey-market frames often are not covered.
  • White glove delivery is available as a paid add-on. The crew brings it into the room of your choice and removes the packaging, instead of leaving 317 lb at the curb.
  • Financing through Affirm, Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital and Acorn Finance. Multi-unit studio pricing on 866-861-6317.

The specs back that up. Seventeen springs cover every mode out of the box: five on the reformer (3 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue) and twelve on the trapeze across six tensions (2 short yellow, 2 long yellow, 2 blue, 2 red, 2 black, 2 purple). The patented Enhanced Pulley System runs on both tower bars, so the horizontal bar sets spring width and the vertical bar sets trapeze position, and the push-through bar height adjusts on top of that. The 3-level gear bar moves carriage resistance 3 to 4% per step rather than a whole spring. The carriage is 27.5" by 31.2" on the longest track in the category, and the frame is solid beech with aircraft-grade aluminum tracks at 317.4 lb, which is what keeps it quiet and flex-free under loaded spring work.

Assembly is required: two people, roughly 60 to 90 minutes. No power is needed. Plan a room at least 12 feet long and 10 feet wide with a 7 ft ceiling minimum and 8 ft for comfortable overhead work, because the trapeze frame stands 76.7" and the footprint is 107.3" by 28.5". Four F2 System ports are built in, and a shorter frame and three extension leg heights are available separately. Springs are wear parts, replaced every 2 years or 3,000 hours of use, whichever comes first.

IMPORTANT: MODE CHANGES ARE HANDS-ON

Converting between Reformer, Tower and Cadillac is a physical change, not a lever flip. Plan it between clients, not mid-session. That single fact is why group-class studios run standalone reformers instead, and it is worth being honest about before you order.

Best For
  • Instructors who teach the full classical curriculum from one frame
  • Studios with one apparatus slot and no room for three machines
  • PT and rehab clinics that need the broadest programming per square foot
  • Buyers stepping up from a standalone reformer to the complete system
  • Rooms with a ceiling too low for a standalone Cadillac
Not Ideal For
  • Studios that already own a Cadillac. You are paying twice for trapeze work
  • Buyers who only need reformer work. The BASI Systems Reformer costs less
  • Group-class studios. Mode changes take time you do not have between clients
  • Rooms under a 7 ft ceiling. The trapeze frame stands 76.7" before clearance

Benefits and Features

What you get The feature behind it
Teach the full classical curriculum without buying three machines. Converts between Reformer, Reformer with Tower and Cadillac. Twin Mat Conversion adds a raised mat platform.
Put the spring exactly where the exercise needs it, at either station. Enhanced Pulley System on both tower bars. Horizontal bar sets spring width, vertical bar sets trapeze position. Push-through bar height adjusts.
Load light rehabilitation and heavy athletic work from the same frame, day one. 17 springs: 5 on the reformer, 12 on the trapeze across six tensions.
Progress a client by a step they can actually hold. 3-level gear bar, 3 to 4% resistance per step on the carriage.
Teach a 6'2" client the same repertoire as a 5'2" client. 27.5" by 31.2" carriage on the longest track in the category.
Fit trapeze work into a room a standalone Cadillac would not clear. 76.7" with the trapeze fitted, against 87.2" on the standalone Cadillac.

Who Buys the BASI Reformer Combo

  • Instructors building a complete practice from one purchase. The whole curriculum, one frame, one delivery.
  • PT and rehab clinics. Broadest programming per square foot, in rooms that have to hold other equipment too.
  • Studios with a single apparatus slot. Where floor space, not budget, is the binding constraint.
  • Buyers with ceiling limits. Trapeze work at 76.7" instead of the Cadillac's 87.2".
  • Multi-unit buyers. Call 866-861-6317 for studio pricing and freight consolidation.
BEFORE YOU ORDER

The frame ships with the trapeze, Twin Mat Conversion, push-through bar, roll-down bar, swing, 17 springs and the full handle and strap set. Extension leg sets are not included. Assembly is required. Confirm your ceiling: 7 ft minimum, 8 ft comfortable.

Combo, Reformer or Standalone Cadillac

The Combo does everything, on one footprint, one client at a time. Buying a BASI Systems Reformer and a BASI Cadillac separately costs more but gives you two apparatus running at once and the Cadillac's larger mat table. Buy the Combo when floor space is the constraint. Buy separately when you have the room and want to teach two clients at the same time. Full figures, including what each route costs, are in the Comparisons tab.

Also Consider

Why This Is the One to Buy

Buying the Combo means the room is finished on day one. No staged build-out, no explaining to a client that you teach that exercise on a machine you do not own yet, no second freight delivery in eighteen months. For an instructor going out on their own, that is the difference between a practice that looks provisional and one that looks like a studio.

Not sure whether the Combo or two separate apparatus is right for your room? Call 866-861-6317, 9am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday, and we will work it out with you before you order.

Financing for Recovery and Fitness Equipment

Buying for yourself, spread the cost through Affirm at checkout. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, or studio, apply with one of four business lenders and put the whole room on a single application.

RecovAthlete has no control over any financing decision. Approval is based on your creditworthiness and is solely the lender's decision.

Personal purchase

Affirm at checkout. Rates run 0% to 36% APR based on your credit profile. Soft check to prequalify, so no impact on your score. No prepayment penalty.

Business purchase

Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, or KWIPPED. Apply with two of the four and compare. Financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm with your accountant.

Financing by Equipment Category

Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.

Building a Recovery Room?

Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.

That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.

See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.

Which Lender Should You Apply With?

Lender Type Amount Speed Best for
Affirm Consumer, at checkout Order total Seconds Personal purchases. 0% to 36% APR based on credit. Soft check to prequalify.
Brickhouse Capital Direct equipment lender Up to $250K on a one-page application, $1M+ with financials ~24 hours A full room or a full floor. Credit decisions made in-house. Tied to the business, not your personal credit report.
Reliant Capital Lender and broker Up to $500K application-only, $5M with financials 2 to 4 hours Medical, aesthetic, and wellness. Deferred payment options. New or used equipment.
Acorn Finance Lending marketplace $1,000 to $100,000 60 seconds to prequalify Comparing offers. One application goes to 30 or more lenders with no impact to your score.
KWIPPED (APPROVE) Lender marketplace Minimum $1,500 equipment value 60-second application Larger commercial orders. Lenders compete, which usually returns the best APR. Businesses only.

Apply with two of the four and compare. It costs nothing and the spread between offers is often significant.

Financing Questions

What are Affirm's rates?

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.

Can I finance equipment for a business?

Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.

Should I finance each machine separately?

No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?

Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.

Can freight and installation be financed?

Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.

Can I pay off early?

Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

Not sure which option fits?

Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.

BASI Systems Returns and Warranty

Most BASI equipment is made to order and non-returnable, but all of it is covered by a limited manufacturer warranty. To start any claim or return, call RecovAthlete at 866-861-6317 and we will open it with BASI for you.

IMPORTANT: THREE DEADLINES

5 business days to report delivery damage, and it must be noted on the Proof of Delivery before you sign.

30 days from the invoice date to request an RA number.

30 days from the RA date for the item to reach BASI.

Warranty Period

Starts on the invoice date. Repaired or replaced parts carry the remainder of the original term, not a new one.

Period Parts Covered
10 years Main wooden frames and structural wood components
2 years Steel and aluminum components, F2 systems, springs, plastic parts, fasteners
1 year Elastomer coated parts (footbar, handbar, pedals, stoppers, handles, wheels)
90 days Pilates mat, upholstered parts, fabric accessories

What Is Covered

A defect is repaired, replaced, or refunded at BASI's discretion when all of these are true:

  • The fault is a manufacturing or material defect.
  • Safety, usage, and maintenance guidelines were followed.
  • The claim falls inside the warranty period.
  • You are the original purchaser with proof of purchase. The warranty is not transferable.
NOT COVERED

  • Misuse, modification, transport damage, unauthorized repair.
  • Any use other than Pilates exercise.
  • Continued use of an already damaged part.

  • Water submersion, flooding, fire, direct sunlight or heat.
  • Resale by the customer.

Replace springs every 2 years or 3,000 hours of use, whichever comes first. Skipping this may void your warranty. Replacement springs are available through us.

Damaged on Delivery

  1. Inspect every box before the driver leaves.
  2. Write any damage or missing boxes on the Proof of Delivery, then sign.
  3. Photograph the packaging and the damage.
  4. Call 866-861-6317 within 5 business days.

If it is not on the Proof of Delivery, BASI accepts no liability. A clean signature closes the claim before it starts.

How Returns Work

Every return needs a Return Authorization number. Nothing is accepted without one.

  1. Call 866-861-6317 within 30 days of your invoice date.
  2. We request the RA number from BASI for you.
  3. Repack in the original packaging, new-like condition, with a copy of the invoice inside.
  4. Ship so it reaches BASI within 30 days of the RA date.

Bought from another reseller? Contact that retailer instead. After inspection, BASI may exchange the item, issue credit, or refund, at its option.
