Cascade Air Bike Unlimited: Commercial-Grade Fan Resistance Air Bike

The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited is a commercial-grade air bike built for HIIT, CrossFit, conditioning circuits, physical therapy clinics, and home gyms that need a machine to handle daily use. It uses pure fan resistance, meaning your effort directly controls the load. No magnetic levels, no preset programs, no electricity needed. Multi-grip moving handlebars engage the upper body alongside the lower body, turning every pedal stroke into a total-body movement.

Built on a heavy steel frame with a belt-driven fan, sealed bearings, durable steel fan blades, and a battery-powered console. The 4-way adjustable seat fits a wide range of body types. The Air Bike Unlimited is the fan-only model in the Cascade lineup. If you want magnetic resistance levels on top of fan resistance, see the Air Bike Unlimited Mag.

Best For
  • CrossFit athletes and HIIT coaches who want a straightforward, no-frills commercial air bike
  • Home gym owners who want total-body conditioning without apps, subscriptions, or electricity
  • Anyone who wants pure effort-based resistance with no baseline setting required
  • PT clinics needing low-impact cardio that self-regulates with patient effort
  • Commercial gyms and group HIIT studios running heavy daily volume
Not Ideal For
  • Users wanting precise resistance control across training zones. The Unlimited Mag adds 16 magnetic levels for that.
  • Buyers looking for structured programs or app-connected workouts
  • Users who want quiet cardio (fan air bikes generate sound during intense intervals)
  • Buyers wanting recumbent comfort or fixed-resistance training
  • Casual users who don't push intensity (the fan resistance system rewards effort)
Why RecovAthlete Carries This

We carry the Air Bike Unlimited because sometimes the right tool is the simplest one. Fan resistance means the machine can't limit your output. Your effort is the only ceiling. Commercial frame means it won't flex, rattle, or wear out under daily use.

Who Buys This

  • CrossFit athletes who use air bikes for conditioning intervals and benchmark workouts
  • Home gym builders who want a commercial-grade machine without the complexity
  • Coaches and trainers running group HIIT circuits where simplicity matters
  • Anyone upgrading from a consumer-grade air bike to something that handles serious volume
  • PT clinics using low-impact cardio for cardiovascular conditioning during rehab

How Fan Resistance Works on the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited

Pedaling spins a large bladed fan. The faster you pedal, the more air the fan moves, and the more force it takes to keep moving the fan. This is the entire resistance system. No motor, no magnetic brake, no electronic adjustment.

  • Resistance scales with effort. Push lighter, get lighter resistance. Push harder, get harder resistance. The machine matches you automatically.
  • Infinite resistance ceiling. No maximum level. The harder you can push, the more resistance the fan generates.
  • Self-regulating intensity. Beginners go easy and the machine stays easy. Athletes go max effort and the machine pushes back at max effort.
  • No power outlet needed. Mechanical resistance only. Battery-powered console for tracking metrics.
  • Ideal for sprint intervals. No need to stop and adjust settings mid-workout. Just push harder.
  • Works for beginners and elite athletes on the same machine. No setup required for either end of the spectrum.
Cascade Air Bike Unlimited vs Unlimited Mag

Both share the same commercial-grade frame, multi-grip moving handlebars, 4-way adjustable seat, and warranty. The difference is in resistance control and training modes.

Feature Air Bike Unlimited Air Bike Unlimited Mag
Resistance Pure fan resistance Fan + 16 magnetic levels
Resistance Levels Effort-based only 16 magnetic levels on top of fan
Upper-Body-Only Training Limited Foot pegs for arms-only mode
Best For Simple HIIT, CrossFit, conditioning Structured intervals, resistance-controlled training
Simplicity Easier to use More adjustable, more controls
Best Buyer Home gyms, CrossFit boxes, PT clinics PT clinics, structured training programs
Price Lower Higher

Choose the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited if you want a durable air bike where resistance increases automatically with effort. Choose the Unlimited Mag if you want fixed magnetic resistance levels on top of fan resistance and dedicated upper-body training mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

Product Basics
What is the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited?
The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited is a commercial-grade fan resistance air bike for HIIT, CrossFit, home gyms, and PT clinics. It uses pure fan resistance with no magnetic levels. Multi-grip moving handlebars engage the upper body alongside the lower body for total-body conditioning. No electricity required.
Is the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited good for HIIT?
Yes. It's purpose-built for it. Fan resistance scales infinitely with your effort, which means max sprints feel genuinely hard without needing to stop and adjust settings. The moving handlebars add upper-body loading so you're burning more calories per minute than a standard stationary bike. Used in CrossFit boxes and conditioning programs specifically for this reason.
Is the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited good for CrossFit?
Yes. The Unlimited is used in CrossFit boxes and benchmark workouts. Pure fan resistance, durable belt drive, and a heavy commercial frame mean it handles high-volume class use without flex or wear. Standard calorie tracking on the console makes it easy to program standard CrossFit metcons.
Does the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited need electricity?
No. The console runs on batteries and the resistance is purely mechanical, generated by the fan as you pedal. No power cord, no outlet needed. You can place it anywhere in your space.
What muscles does the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited work?
Total body. Legs drive the pedals (quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves). Moving handlebars engage the upper body (shoulders, chest, back, arms). Core stabilizes throughout. Every pedal stroke loads multiple muscle groups simultaneously.
Comparison & Buying
What is the difference between Cascade Air Bike Unlimited and Unlimited Mag?
The standard Air Bike Unlimited uses pure fan resistance. Resistance is controlled entirely by how hard you pedal. The Air Bike Unlimited Mag adds 16 magnetic resistance levels so you can set a minimum baseline intensity separate from your effort. The Mag also includes foot pegs for upper-body-only training. If you want simplicity and pure fan resistance, the standard model. If you want more control and the upper-body mode, go Mag.
How much does the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited cost?
Pricing varies based on promotions, shipping, and current financing offers. RecovAthlete offers Affirm financing at checkout. Call 866-861-6317 for current Air Bike Unlimited pricing, delivery quotes to your zip code, and financing pre-qualification.
Is it better than a regular exercise bike?
Different tool, different goal. The Air Bike Unlimited is built for high-intensity interval training and total-body conditioning. A regular stationary bike is built for steady-state cardio and indoor cycling. If your training calls for sprint intervals or CrossFit-style metcons, the air bike is the better fit. If you want longer steady rides or quieter home use, a standard bike works better.
Is the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited good for home gyms?
Yes. No electricity required, no app subscriptions, no recurring costs. Place it anywhere with about 13.5 sq ft of floor space. Built-in transport wheels make it easy to reposition. Commercial-grade build handles years of home use.
Can beginners use the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited?
Yes. Fan resistance self-regulates. Beginners pedal at an easy pace and the resistance stays easy. As fitness improves, push harder and the machine pushes back harder. No setup required for either end of the spectrum.
Use Cases
Can the Cascade Air Bike be used for injury rehabilitation?
Yes. Low resistance fan cycling is low-impact and well-tolerated at early rehab stages. The air resistance self-regulates, so going easy keeps it easy. Physical therapists use air bikes for cardiovascular loading when impact activities aren't appropriate yet. For upper-body-only rehab work, the Mag model with foot pegs is the better choice.
Can it be used for upper-body-only training?
Limited on the standard Unlimited. The Mag model includes dedicated foot pegs that better support arms-only intervals. If upper-body-only training is a regular need, the Unlimited Mag is the right pick.
Shipping, Assembly & Warranty
How does the Cascade Air Bike ship?
Ships via freight carrier to the contiguous US. The freight carrier calls to schedule a weekday delivery window. Someone needs to be present to sign for the shipment. Call 866-861-6317 before ordering for current delivery options and lead times to your zip code.
Is assembly required?
Yes. Plan 45 to 60 minutes for full assembly. Tools are included in the box. The frame ships partially assembled. You'll attach the handlebars, seat post, pedals, and console. Setup guide ships with the bike.
What warranty does the Cascade Air Bike Unlimited carry?
Lifetime frame, 5 years parts, 2 years wearables, 2 years electronics, 1 year labor. RecovAthlete is an authorized Cascade dealer, so the full manufacturer warranty applies to every machine purchased through our store. We handle warranty claims directly with Cascade.

  • Buyers wanting recumbent comfort or fixed-resistance training
  • Casual users who don't push intensity (the fan resistance system rewards effort)
Why RecovAthlete Carries This

Who Buys This

  • CrossFit athletes who use air bikes for conditioning intervals and benchmark workouts
  • Home gym builders who want a commercial-grade machine without the complexity
  • Coaches and trainers running group HIIT circuits where simplicity matters
  • Anyone upgrading from a consumer-grade air bike to something that handles serious volume

Cascade Air Bike Unlimited vs Regular Stationary Bike

Air bikes and stationary bikes use different resistance systems and train different muscle groups. The choice depends on your training goal.

Feature Cascade Air Bike Unlimited Regular Stationary Bike
Resistance Fan-based, effort-controlled Magnetic or friction-based, fixed levels
Muscles Used Arms, legs, core (total body) Mostly legs
Best For HIIT, conditioning, CrossFit, total-body cardio Steady-state cardio, indoor cycling classes
Power Needed No Often yes (for console and resistance)
Intensity Ceiling Very high (limited by your effort) Capped by resistance system
Noise Fan sound during hard efforts Generally quieter
Footprint ~13.5 sq ft Typically smaller

Air bikes are the better fit if your training calls for sprint intervals, total-body conditioning, or CrossFit-style metcon workouts. Stationary bikes work better for steady-state endurance training, longer rides, or quieter home environments.

Cascade Air Bike Unlimited vs Assault Bike

  • Resistance system. Both use pure fan resistance. Effort-based, infinite ceiling, no electricity needed.
  • Build. The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited frame is built heavier in its class. Heavier frame means more stability under max sprints.
  • Drive system. The Cascade Unlimited uses belt drive, which runs quieter and needs less maintenance than chain drive.
  • Handlebars. Both feature multi-grip moving handlebars for upper-body engagement.
  • Console. Both run battery-powered consoles with standard metrics (time, distance, calories, RPM, watts).
  • Warranty. The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited carries a lifetime frame warranty, 5 years parts, 2 years wearables, 2 years electronics, 1 year labor.

Financing for Recovery and Fitness Equipment

Buying for yourself, spread the cost through Affirm at checkout. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, or studio, apply with one of four business lenders and put the whole room on a single application.

RecovAthlete has no control over any financing decision. Approval is based on your creditworthiness and is solely the lender's decision.

Personal purchase

Affirm at checkout. Rates run 0% to 36% APR based on your credit profile. Soft check to prequalify, so no impact on your score. No prepayment penalty.

Business purchase

Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, or KWIPPED. Apply with two of the four and compare. Financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm with your accountant.

Financing by Equipment Category

Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.

Building a Recovery Room?

Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.

That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.

See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.

Which Lender Should You Apply With?

Financing Questions

What are Affirm's rates?

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.

Can I finance equipment for a business?

Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.

Should I finance each machine separately?

No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?

Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.

Can freight and installation be financed?

Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.

Can I pay off early?

Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

Not sure which option fits?

Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.

Cascade Air Bike Unlimited vs Regular Stationary Bike

Air bikes and stationary bikes use different resistance systems and train different muscle groups. The choice depends on your training goal.

Feature Cascade Air Bike Unlimited Regular Stationary Bike
Resistance Fan-based, effort-controlled Magnetic or friction-based, fixed levels
Muscles Used Arms, legs, core (total body) Mostly legs
Best For HIIT, conditioning, CrossFit, total-body cardio Steady-state cardio, indoor cycling classes
Power Needed No Often yes (for console and resistance)
Intensity Ceiling Very high (limited by your effort) Capped by resistance system
Noise Fan sound during hard efforts Generally quieter
Footprint ~13.5 sq ft Typically smaller

Air bikes are the better fit if your training calls for sprint intervals, total-body conditioning, or CrossFit-style metcon workouts. Stationary bikes work better for steady-state endurance training, longer rides, or quieter home environments.

Cascade Air Bike Unlimited vs Assault Bike

  • Resistance system. Both use pure fan resistance. Effort-based, infinite ceiling, no electricity needed.
  • Build. The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited frame is built heavier in its class. Heavier frame means more stability under max sprints.
  • Drive system. The Cascade Unlimited uses belt drive, which runs quieter and needs less maintenance than chain drive.
  • Handlebars. Both feature multi-grip moving handlebars for upper-body engagement.
  • Console. Both run battery-powered consoles with standard metrics (time, distance, calories, RPM, watts).
  • Warranty. The Cascade Air Bike Unlimited carries a lifetime frame warranty, 5 years parts, 2 years wearables, 2 years electronics, 1 year labor.

Every Cascade Fitness machine sold through RecovAthlete is backed by the full manufacturer warranty. As an authorized dealer, we honor that coverage directly — you don't need to navigate between the retailer and manufacturer to get a warranty issue resolved.

Authorized Cascade Fitness Dealer — full warranty applies

Purchasing through an unauthorized reseller voids your warranty. RecovAthlete is an authorized dealer. Every machine purchased here is eligible for the complete coverage below from day one.

Coverage by Component

Component Coverage Period
Frame Lifetime
Parts 5 Years
Wearables 2 Years
Electronics 2 Years
Labor 1 Year

Wearables include belts, pedals, grips, and other high-contact parts subject to normal wear. Electronics coverage applies only to models with electronic components.

Why this matters: Most fitness equipment warranties offer 1 year on wearables and electronics. Cascade's 2-year coverage on both is above the category standard — and the lifetime frame warranty means the core machine is covered for as long as you own it.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Register within 30 days of purchase

Complete warranty registration on the Cascade Health & Fitness website. Registration is required to validate your warranty. Keep your proof of purchase — the warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

  2. Contact Cascade directly to submit a claim

Call Cascade support at 1-425-402-4062 or complete the Warranty Claim Form on their website. For pre-claim questions, you can also reach us at 866-861-6317 and we'll help you through the process.

  3. Document the issue before shipping anything

Photograph the defect clearly before any repair or return shipment. Cascade will advise on whether the part will be sent to you, or whether the machine needs to be returned. Do not ship anything until you have written confirmation of the claim.

Important Notes

  • Warranty is valid for the original purchaser only. It does not transfer to a second owner if the machine is resold.
  • Normal wear and tear on wearable parts (belts, pedals, grips) is covered for 2 years from purchase — not indefinitely.
  • Damage from misuse, improper assembly, unauthorized modifications, or use outside the machine's rated capacity is not covered.
  • Electronics coverage applies only to models with electronic components (console, Bluetooth, resistance motor). Purely mechanical models are covered under frame, parts, wearables, and labor only.
  • Purchasing from an unauthorized dealer voids your warranty. RecovAthlete is an authorized dealer — your coverage is fully intact.
