The R8-Pro ships freight on a pallet and arrives partially assembled. Plan for two people to move it into position and build it in the room where it will be used, because a 248cm assembled frame does not turn through a normal doorway. Common questions
Does the R8-Pro fold?
No. It does not fold and it does not stack. It can be stood vertically to clear the floor, but only with the optional jump board fitted, and it is 238cm tall standing. If you need the room back after every session, the F3 folding reformer is the machine that does that.
Is the white model different from the black one?

Can I add a tower or Half Cadillac later?
No. Align-Pilates states that the R8-Pro cannot accommodate a Half Cadillac tower. If tower repertoire is part of your plan, the studio duty frames in the range are the ones to look at, and it is cheaper to decide that before you buy rather than after.
Can a studio put it in a class rotation?
For a light timetable, yes. Align-Pilates classes the R8-Pro as domestic use plus limited light commercial use of up to 20 hours a week, with a 120kg maximum user weight. What are Affirm's rates?

Will applying hurt my credit score?
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Can I finance equipment for a business?

Should I finance each machine separately?

Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Can freight and installation be financed?

The R8-Pro does not fold
This is the assumption we correct most often. The R8-Pro is a fixed length machine at 248cm by 67cm and it does not fold, at any price, with any accessory. Among light commercial Pilates reformers this is the one we recommend when the machine will stay set up and get used by more than one body.
The R8-Pro does not fold
This is the assumption we correct most often. The R8-Pro is a fixed length machine at 248cm by 67cm and it does not fold, at any price, with any accessory. It can be stood vertically to clear the floor, but only with the optional jump board fitted, and it reaches 238cm tall when it is up, so measure your ceiling before you plan on that. It does not stack either. If the floor has to be clear every day, buy a folding machine instead. Check the doorway and the turn into the room as well, because a 248cm frame does not corner.

- Rooms under 238cm of clear height, if you intend to stand it up with the jump board
Why we carry this one
The comparison worth making is against the F3 folding reformer, because most buyers at this level look at both. The shared ground is real. Both sit in the Light Commercial class, both carry a 120kg maximum user weight, both run 4 springs and both run 8 PU wheels. The split is portability against adjustability. The F3 folds to 49cm deep and stands against a wall in about a minute. The R8-Pro does neither of those things.
What you get for giving up the fold is a machine you can retune quickly. Spring load moves on a rapid change bar with 3 positions instead of a fixed bar. Rope length sets on Pro Rope adjusters you can reach from the carriage instead of a threaded rope. The footbar has 5 positions instead of 4, the risers 9 heights instead of 3, and there are two leg heights, 23cm as standard and 36cm with the optional leg extensions, where the F3 has none. There is also space to add a fifth spring. In a household where a 155cm and a 190cm client use the same machine in the same hour, that adjustment range is the whole difference.
R8-Pro against the F3 and the C8-Pro
Three machines get compared here and each answers a different question. The F3 folding reformer answers storage. The R8-Pro answers adjustment inside a light timetable. The C8-Pro answers volume, and that is where we point a room running back to back classes from open to close, because the R8-Pro is rated for limited light commercial use of up to 20 hours a week.

If the hours are going to climb past 20 a week, or clients over 120kg are on the books, buy the C8-Pro instead and do not stretch this machine to cover it. Inside those limits the R8-Pro is the most adjustable reformer at this level.

Delivery
The R8-Pro ships freight on a pallet and arrives partially assembled. Plan for two people to move it into position and build it in the room where it will be used, because a 248cm assembled frame does not turn through a normal doorway. Unwrap onto clean packaging rather than a dusty floor. The online assembly and user guide is published by Align-Pilates and we send the link with your order confirmation.
Common questions
Does the R8-Pro fold?
No. It does not fold and it does not stack. It can be stood vertically to clear the floor, but only with the optional jump board fitted, and it is 238cm tall standing. If you need the room back after every session, the F3 folding reformer is the machine that does that.
Is the white model different from the black one?
Only in finish. Align-Pilates describes the white version as a white stainless steel finish, and every mechanical specification is shared: same 248cm by 67cm footprint, same 89cm by 56cm carriage, same 97.5cm travel, same spring bar, same ropes, same 120kg maximum user weight. The product code changes with the colour, which matters only if you are ordering spares.
R8-Pro or F3?
Adjustability against portability. Both are Light Commercial with a 120kg maximum user weight, 4 springs and 8 PU wheels. The R8-Pro has a rapid change spring bar, Pro Rope adjusters, 5 footbar positions, 9 riser heights and two leg options, and it stays where you build it. The F3 folds to 49cm deep and stands against a wall, with a fixed spring bar, threaded rope, 4 footbar positions, 3 riser heights and no leg options.
Can I add a tower or Half Cadillac later?
No. Align-Pilates states that the R8-Pro cannot accommodate a Half Cadillac tower. If tower repertoire is part of your plan, the studio duty frames in the range are the ones to look at, and it is cheaper to decide that before you buy rather than after.
Can a studio put it in a class rotation?
For a light timetable, yes. Align-Pilates classes the R8-Pro as domestic use plus limited light commercial use of up to 20 hours a week, with a 120kg maximum user weight. That covers a small teaching room or a clinic. A room running group classes from open to close needs a studio duty reformer instead.
