The Align Pilates C8-Pro Noir Pilates Reformer is the C8-Pro in a black finish, and nothing under the finish changes. Same 244cm by 66cm footprint, same 66kg, same 91.5cm by 58cm carriage, same 106.5cm of travel on 8 PU wheels, same Rapid Change spring bar, same oversize footbar, same 5 springs, same 7 riser heights, same 150kg maximum user weight. Align-Pilates publishes the two machines side by side in one table and every mechanical row reads identically.
That makes this a room decision rather than a performance decision. Most studio Pilates reformers are specified on carriage size and spring hardware, and the finish is whatever the factory ships. The Noir is for the studio or the home where the machine sits in the client's eyeline for a full hour and the space has been designed rather than furnished. The frame is the same oversize aluminium profile Align-Pilates uses across the C8-Pro family. Buy it because you want the machine to read as part of the room, and not because you expect more machine.
We already sell the standard C8-Pro, and it is the machine we put in front of most studio buyers at this level. The Noir exists because a lot of those buyers are fitting out a room where the equipment is on show from the door, and a row of matte black frames reads very differently to a row of silver ones. Align-Pilates changed no geometry, no carriage, no spring hardware and no load rating to do it.
The reason we are blunt about that is that finish variants get oversold. If someone tells you the black frame is stronger or quieter, they are guessing. What you are buying is the C8-Pro chassis and its Rapid Change spring bar in a colour that suits the room. That is a good reason to spend the money. It is the only reason.
Mechanically these are one machine. Same carriage, same 106.5cm of travel, same Rapid Change spring bar, same 150kg maximum user weight, same C-Series accessories. What changes is the finish, and what you can order on each page. The Noir ships in one build at the standard 26cm bed height. The standard C8-Pro page carries three builds, so if you want 42cm studio height or freestanding legs from the factory, order it there.
| Point of difference | C8-Pro Noir | Standard C8-Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Finish | Matte black frame, runners and legs | Anodised aluminium frame with painted parts |
| Carriage, travel and spring bar | 106.5cm travel, Rapid Change bar, 8 PU wheels | Identical |
| Builds on the page | One, at the standard 26cm bed height | Three: standard, with 42cm leg extensions, or with freestanding legs |
| Accessories | Whole C-Series range fits | Whole C-Series range fits |
Buy the Noir when the room is client facing and the machines are part of what people see when they walk in. Buy the standard C8-Pro when you want the leg option decided at the factory, or when the machine lives in a back studio and nobody is photographing it.
| Specification | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| 106.5cm carriage travel | Taller clients reach full leg extension without running out of track at the end of the range |
| 91.5cm x 58cm carriage | Enough width for side lying and kneeling work to stay stable across a mixed ability class |
| 8 PU wheels on precision aluminium runners | Quieter under load and less wheel maintenance than a four wheel carriage over a commercial duty cycle |
| Rapid Change spring bar | Spring load changes with one hand and the springs stay attached, so transitions cost seconds rather than half a minute |
| Oversize footbar, 4 lockable positions including flat | More contact area under the foot and the hand, and the flat position clears the bar for long box and jump board work |
| 2 leg options, 26cm or 42cm | 26cm is the standard studio bed height. The 42cm extensions make getting on and off easier for older or less mobile clients, and are what gives you the full riser range |
| Stands and stacks | The floor can be cleared for a mat class and machines can be stored two deep, which matters in a room that does more than reformer work |
| 66kg, 150kg maximum user weight | A two person lift to position, and a load rating that answers the question a studio insurer asks |
Call 866-861-6317 between 9am and 6pm EST, Monday to Friday, if you want a part checked against an existing C8-Pro before ordering, or if you are matching the Noir into a fleet you already run. White glove delivery and in room assembly are available as a paid add on.

The reformer ships freight on a pallet and arrives partially assembled. Plan for two people to move it into position and build it in the room where it will live, because a 244cm assembled frame does not turn through a normal doorway. Unwrap it on a clean floor and keep the packaging under the frame while you build, since the black finish picks up scuffs most easily during assembly. Assembly and user guides are published by Align-Pilates and we send the links with your order confirmation.
No. Align-Pilates lists both machines with the same dimensions, the same 66kg weight, the same carriage, the same travel, the same Rapid Change spring bar, the same 5 springs, the same oversize footbar, the same 8 PU wheels and the same 150kg maximum user weight. The finish is the whole difference.
More than the standard finish. Chalk, sweat and dust show clearly on matte black. Studios that keep a microfibre cloth on each machine and wipe the frame between clients have no problem with it. Studios that clean only at the end of the day watch the marks build up. Avoid abrasive pads on the frame.
Yes. Same geometry, same carriage height, same spring hardware, so an instructor moving down the row is teaching the same machine. If you are part way through a fleet purchase, call us and we will check the leg option and accessory codes so the machines match.
Align-Pilates lists the C8-Pro Noir as both standing and stacking, so a room that also runs mat classes can clear the floor. It does not fold. Standing a 66kg reformer up is a two person job and it needs a wall or corner to rest against.
Yes. It is independently tested to EN ISO 20957-1:2013 and rated to a 150kg maximum user weight, which is the studio duty class in the Align-Pilates range rather than the light commercial class.

Buying for yourself, spread the cost through Affirm at checkout. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, or studio, apply with one of four business lenders and put the whole room on a single application.
RecovAthlete has no control over any financing decision. Approval is based on your creditworthiness and is solely the lender's decision.
Affirm at checkout. Rates run 0% to 36% APR based on your credit profile. Soft check to prequalify, so no impact on your score. No prepayment penalty.
Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital, Acorn Finance, or KWIPPED. Apply with two of the four and compare. Financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm with your accountant.
Every page below has real prices, real monthly payment examples, and the lender comparison for that category. Pick the one you are buying.
Most business buyers are not buying one machine. They are building a room. Sauna, cold plunge, red light, vibration, hyperbaric, cryotherapy, and halotherapy all finance on the same paper through the same four lenders, and RecovAthlete quotes every category on one purchase order.
That means one freight schedule, one install window, and one financing application instead of six. It also gets you a better rate, because a bigger number on one application beats six small ones with six hard inquiries.
See commercial recovery equipment financing, or call 866-861-6317 and we will price the room.
| Lender | Type | Amount | Speed | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Affirm | Consumer, at checkout | Order total | Seconds | Personal purchases. 0% to 36% APR based on credit. Soft check to prequalify. |
| Brickhouse Capital | Direct equipment lender | Up to $250K on a one-page application, $1M+ with financials | ~24 hours | A full room or a full floor. Credit decisions made in-house. Tied to the business, not your personal credit report. |
| Reliant Capital | Lender and broker | Up to $500K application-only, $5M with financials | 2 to 4 hours | Medical, aesthetic, and wellness. Deferred payment options. New or used equipment. |
| Acorn Finance | Lending marketplace | $1,000 to $100,000 | 60 seconds to prequalify | Comparing offers. One application goes to 30 or more lenders with no impact to your score. |
| KWIPPED (APPROVE) | Lender marketplace | Minimum $1,500 equipment value | 60-second application | Larger commercial orders. Lenders compete, which usually returns the best APR. Businesses only. |
Apply with two of the four and compare. It costs nothing and the spread between offers is often significant.

Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.
No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.
Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.
Tell us what you are buying and whether it is personal or for a business. We will point you at the right two lenders and quote freight and install as one number, which is also the number that goes on the application.

Maintenance Note
Reformers require regular basic maintenance and cleaning. Most issues that arise during ownership can be resolved through consistent, simple cleaning practices. Failure to follow Align-Pilates' maintenance guidelines may void the warranty. Contact us and we'll guide you through the correct maintenance routine for your machine.
