Common Questions About the BASI Compact Reformer with Tower
How is this different from the full Reformer with Tower?
Same three modes, smaller frame. The Compact is 14 inches shorter at 81.5", has a narrower carriage at 23.6", and uses the VPS riser pulley instead of the EPS pulleys and 3-level gear bar. Both carry the same 13 springs. The full BASI Reformer with Tower is the studio-standard frame. Side-by-side figures are in the Comparisons tab.
What is the VPS pulley system?
The Vertical Pulley System. Pulleys adjust to any height on the riser, so you set rope height to the client. It is simpler than the EPS on the full-size frame, which adjusts height and width, but it covers standard reformer and tower programming.
Does the tower replace a Cadillac?

What is the Twin Mat Conversion?
Two mats that sit over the carriage and frame, turning the reformer into a raised mat platform. It is included in the box. Mat programming on the same footprint, with no second apparatus.
How much space do I need?
Plan a room at least 10 ft long and 8 ft wide with a 7 ft ceiling. With the tower and footbar fitted the frame occupies 91.9" by 25.2" and stands 74.9". Allow walking clearance at both ends. Is it suitable for a tall client?
Within reason. The carriage is 23.6" by 25.6" on a shorter track than the studio frame, so very tall clients will feel the difference on long-box and full-range work. If you regularly teach clients over six feet, the full-size Reformer with Tower is the better frame.
Is assembly required?
Yes, and it takes two people. An installation service is available if you would rather a technician do it, priced in the Specifications tab. The manual in Supporting Information covers the procedure.
Do you offer white glove delivery?
Yes, as a paid add-on. Standard delivery is curbside, so the carrier leaves the crate as close to your building as the truck can safely reach. White glove adds inside delivery to the room of your choice and packaging removal. It is quoted per order because cost depends on your address and access. How long does delivery take?

Can I add the F2 System later?
