What Is a Lagree Megaformer?

A Lagree Megaformer is a spring-resistance fitness machine built for the Lagree Method: slow-tempo, high-intensity, low-impact training developed by Sebastien Lagree. A sliding carriage runs against spring tension on a platform designed for continuous, multi-plane movement, so a single exercise can work several muscle groups at once without resting between moves. RecovAthlete is an authorized Lagree Fitness dealer and stocks the current retail lineup new, direct from the manufacturer, each machine built to order.

The lineup runs from the M2, a flat-carriage machine built for stretching and lying-position work, up through the angular-platform M3 series and the 8th-generation Mega Pro. Every model listed below is new Lagree Fitness equipment, not a used or refurbished unit.

Personal Use vs Studio Use

Lagree Fitness draws a legal line between personal and commercial use. Buying an M2 or M2S for home use requires signing a Megaformer Disclosure Agreement confirming the machine will not be used commercially. Opening a studio or offering classes on any Lagree machine requires a separate commercial license purchased directly through Lagree Fitness, not through RecovAthlete. We sell the machines; licensing and Lagree Method certification are handled with Lagree Fitness directly.

Lagree Megaformer vs Pilates Reformer

The two machines look similar but serve different training goals. A Lagree Megaformer uses a longer carriage track and a spring system built for continuous, high-intensity movement. A classical Pilates reformer uses fewer springs on a shorter, fixed-width carriage and is built for classical or contemporary Pilates programming, including rehabilitation-oriented work. A Megaformer is not a direct substitute for a reformer if your goal is classical Pilates; the exercise systems are different.
