What an Infrared Sauna Is and Who It Is For

An infrared sauna uses infrared panels to heat your body directly rather than heating the surrounding air. That produces a deep sweat at a lower air temperature, around 120 to 150 degrees, which many people find more comfortable than traditional steam heat. It suits anyone who wants daily recovery heat, gentler sessions, or an easy install.

Many one and two-person infrared models run on a standard 120V household outlet, so no electrician is needed; larger models may need a 20-amp or 240V circuit.
