Harvia Cilindro Safety Railing: a guard for an open stone face
The Cilindro carries 200 lbs of stone behind an open face, which is exactly what makes the steam good and exactly what a hand should not touch. A safety railing stands off the heater and keeps contact away from it. Four versions here, in two sizes and with or without LED lighting: the HPC3 and HPCU3LUL fit the 6 to 8 kW bodies and the HPC4 and HPCU4LUL fit the 11 kW.
Size first, lighting second
The railing is cut to the heater body, so the 6 to 8 kW and the 11 kW versions are not interchangeable. Establish your heater output first. Then decide on lighting: the LUL versions carry an LED strip that lights the stone face from the guard rather than from the ceiling, which is the difference between a heater you can see and one that disappears into a dark corner.
BEFORE YOU ORDER: A RAILING DOES NOT CHANGE THE SAFETY DISTANCES
Fitting a railing does not let the heater sit closer to a bench or a wall. Harvia is explicit that the published safety distances still apply with a guard in place. A railing prevents contact; it does not reduce clearance. The LED versions carry a live electrical connection and need an electrician rather than a carpenter. Note the part numbers changed: if you are matching an older quote for an HPCU3L or HPCU4L, the current parts are the HPCU3LUL and HPCU4LUL.

What the LED version actually changes
The lit versions are not a styling upgrade so much as a lighting solution. A Cilindro in a corner reads as a dark shape unless something lights the stone, and a ceiling fitting throws glare into the eyes of anyone lying on the upper bench. Lighting the stone face from the guard itself puts the light where you want to look and keeps it out of the line of sight. If your room has no other light source planned, the LED railing often replaces a separate fitting rather than adding to it.
