The Align Pilates C8-Pro Pilates Reformer with Half Cadillac arrives as a complete setup, not a machine plus a shopping list. In the box: the C8-Pro reformer on its oversize aluminium profile frame, the Half Cadillac frame, the bracket set cut for this series, the 42cm leg extensions the conversion requires, a mattress converter, a platform extender, a frame sitting box and a 60 inch gondola pole.
Align calls this attachment a Half Cadillac, and that is the name on the parts list, though buyers shopping for a reformer with a tower usually mean this exact piece. It mounts at the headrest end and carries the push through bar, roll down bar, safety strap, foot straps, hand handles, spring holders and long springs. If you want the machine without it, we sell the C8-Pro reformer on its own.
The question we get asked most here is Half Cadillac against Full Cadillac. The Half Cadillac is a single upright assembly at one end of the reformer. It gives you the push through bar, the roll down bar, arm and leg spring work, and with the converter and extender fitted, a flat bed for supine Cadillac work. The room stays open and one instructor can work all the way around the machine. The Full Cadillac is a four poster frame with an overhead canopy. It adds trapeze and hanging work a half frame cannot do, and asks for a good deal more floor area and height in return. If trapeze is on your programme, go to the C8-Pro Cadillac reformer combo and budget the space for it.
For everyone else the half frame is the honest answer, because most studio Cadillac programming is push through bar, roll down bar and spring work. The C8-Pro underneath is a commercial reformer, independently tested to EN ISO 20957-1:2013, and the Half Cadillac upper frame is stainless steel rather than chromed steel.

This bundle ships freight on a pallet and arrives partially assembled. Plan for two people to move it into position and assemble it in the room where it will live. Carrying a built machine through a doorway is not realistic. Align-Pilates publishes an assembly guide for the C8-Pro and a second one for the Half Cadillac, and we send both links with your order confirmation.
Yes. The half frame retrofits to an existing C8-Pro, but the bracket set is series specific and will not cross over from another Align-Pilates model. You also need the 42cm leg extensions, the mattress converter and the platform extender. Call 866-861-6317 and we will confirm the part list against your machine first.
The Half Cadillac is one upright assembly at the end of the reformer. It gives you push through bar, roll down bar and spring work, and keeps the room open. The Full Cadillac is a four poster frame with an overhead canopy. It adds trapeze and hanging work but needs more floor space and height. If trapeze is part of your teaching, buy the Cadillac reformer combo instead.
Assembled height is 205cm. Allow clearance above that for the roll down bar arc and for a standing client on the arm springs. Measure to the lowest obstruction in the room, not the highest point of the ceiling.
They raise the whole machine, so the carriage sits higher than a standard C8-Pro. Most instructors prefer that for getting clients on and off, and the extensions give the rope risers their full set of 7 height positions. They are not optional on this bundle.

Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
