Compact with Tower vs Full Reformer with Tower

Same three modes, smaller frame. Here is exactly what you trade for the footprint.

Dimension Compact with Tower Full Reformer with Tower
Frame length 81.5" 95.3"
Footprint with tower 91.9" x 25.2" 107.3" x 28.5"
Carriage width 23.6" 27.5"
Carriage length 25.6" 31.2"
Tower height 74.9" 74.9"
Springs 13 (5 reformer, 8 tower) 13 (5 reformer, 8 tower)
Pulleys VPS riser, height only EPS, height and width
Gear bar Not fitted 3-level, 3 to 4% per step
Price plus freight As listed at the top of this page $9,950
Choose this if Floor space is the hard constraint and you still want a real BASI tower setup You have the room, teach taller clients, or want finer resistance stepping

One honest limitation. Spring count is identical, so the load range is the same. What you give up is track length, carriage width and the EPS pulley with its gear bar. If the room allows, the full Reformer with Tower is the better long-term buy and we will say so on the phone. Choose the Compact when the measurement makes the decision for you.

Compact with Tower vs Compact Reformer

The other comparison worth running is against the same compact frame without the tower.

Consideration Compact with Tower Compact Reformer
Frame Identical compact beech frame Identical compact beech frame
Tower Full vertical tower, push-through and roll-down bar None
Springs 13 5, reformer only
Raised mat work Twin Mat Conversion included Not included
Ceiling needed 7 ft minimum Standard residential height
Choose this if You want tower and mat programming, not just carriage work You teach reformer repertoire only, or your ceiling rules out a tower
Swipe the table sideways

The tower is the whole reason to pay the difference. If you are not going to teach push-through and roll-down bar work, the plain Compact Reformer does the job for less. If you are, adding the tower later means buying a second frame, because it is not a retrofit.
