What Is a RollStar Machine?

The RollStar is a motorized full-body lymphatic massage roller. The user lies on a bed of natural wood rollers that rotate at adjustable speeds (4 speeds total) and can switch rotation direction. The mechanical rolling action provides consistent deep-tissue contact across the body, which is the same principle used in traditional lymphatic drainage massage sessions, automated and repeatable.

Optional add-ons extend the session experience:

  • Infrared heating. Adds warming during the session, supporting muscle relaxation.
  • Chromotherapy. Color light therapy commonly used in spa session programming.
  • Collagen lamps. Add light wavelengths often paired with skin-focused session packages.
  • Air ionization. Integrated air ionization option.
  • Ozone therapy. Optional add-on on certain configurations.

The touchscreen controls 3 automatic programs and 1 manual program. Sessions typically run 30 to 45 minutes. Used in spas, gyms, wellness centers, weight loss studios, chiropractic offices, and recovery clinics. Suitable for home use when the buyer has dedicated floor space and a consistent session schedule.

RollStar, Rollshaper, Roll Shape Machine: What's the Difference?

Search terms vary across "RollStar," "Rollshaper," "roll shaper," "rollshape machine," and "roller shaper" — these refer to the same category of motorized lymphatic massage roller. The terms describe the same type of equipment but get used interchangeably across brands and listings.

On this page:

  • RollStar is the brand and product name.
  • Rollshaper, Roll Shaper, Rollshape, and Roller Shaper are common search terms buyers use when researching this category.
  • All refer to floor-standing motorized roller machines with rotating wood rollers, optional heat, and session programming.

Always confirm the exact model name and feature set with the dealer before ordering. Call 866-861-6317 if you have a specific configuration in mind.

  • Body contouring programs. Multi-week protocols paired with diet, hydration, and movement coaching.
  • Pre and post-workout recovery add-ons. Bundled with gym membership tiers as a recovery upgrade.

Muscle relaxation Used pre or post-workout to support muscle preparation and recovery
Skin texture and cellulite appearance Many users report improvements in skin texture with consistent use
Body contouring support Common application in spas and wellness center programming

Consult a physician before starting, especially if you have thyroid conditions, are pregnant, or have other active medical issues.

How to Use the RollStar Machine

  2. Choose a program. 3 automatic programs handle full-body or targeted-area sequences. Manual program lets you control rotation and speed.
  3. Position the target area against the rollers. Lie down with the body part you're targeting (back, glutes, thighs, calves) against the rolling surface.
  4. Run 30 to 45 minute sessions. Standard session length for lymphatic drainage protocols.
  5. Drink water after the session. Hydration supports lymphatic system function.
  6. Avoid excessive pressure early. Build up speed and intensity gradually over the first few sessions.
  7. Increase frequency gradually. Most protocols start at 2 to 3 sessions per week.

Product & Use

What is the RollStar machine used for?
The RollStar is used for full-body lymphatic massage sessions, body contouring programs, pre and post-workout recovery, and spa wellness packages. The motorized wood rollers provide consistent mechanical pressure across the body. Common applications include spas, wellness centers, gyms, weight loss studios, and chiropractic offices.
Is RollStar the same as a Rollshaper?
RollStar is the brand and product name. Rollshaper, Roll Shaper, Rollshape, and Roller Shaper are common search terms that refer to the same category of motorized lymphatic massage roller. On this page, all of these terms describe the same equipment.
Does the RollStar help with lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic drainage massage is a recognized technique that encourages fluid movement and supports circulation. The RollStar provides consistent mechanical rolling pressure across the body, which is the principle behind manual lymphatic drainage massage. Results vary by individual and depend on session frequency, hydration, and overall lifestyle factors.
Does the RollStar help reduce cellulite appearance?
Many users report improvements in skin texture and cellulite appearance with consistent use. The mechanical rolling action, combined with the infrared heating option, supports increased circulation in target areas. Results vary by individual, body composition, and session consistency. The RollStar is a wellness tool, not a medical treatment.
How often should I use the RollStar for optimal results?
Most protocols recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week, each 30 to 45 minutes, for 8 to 12 weeks to assess results. Maintenance sessions every 3 to 4 weeks support ongoing benefits. Individual response varies based on consistency, hydration, diet, and activity level.
Can the RollStar be used at home?
Yes, the RollStar is suitable for home use when the buyer has dedicated floor space (~22 sq ft) and a consistent session frequency. The build quality supports both home and commercial environments. Home buyers typically choose the Simple or Grand model.
Can the RollStar be used pre and post-workout?
Yes. Pre-workout rolling can help prepare muscles. Post-workout rolling may support recovery by promoting circulation and muscle relaxation. Session length and intensity should be adjusted based on training load.
Does the RollStar truly help with weight loss?
The RollStar is primarily a lymphatic drainage and body contouring tool, not a weight loss device. It is not a substitute for diet, exercise, or supervised weight loss programs. Used in combination with a healthy lifestyle, some users report supporting body shape goals. Results vary significantly by individual.
Are there any conditions where I should avoid the RollStar?
Consult a physician before use if you have thyroid conditions (especially autoimmune), are pregnant, have active cancer treatment, recent surgery, deep vein thrombosis history, severe varicose veins, or other significant medical conditions. The RollStar is a wellness tool, not a medical treatment.
Which RollStar model is best for spas?
For client-facing spa use, the Grand or Grand M is the typical pick because of the larger 10.1" touchscreen, WiFi, and media features (Netflix, Radio Garden, Facebook) that improve the in-session client experience. The Grand M adds Bluetooth for cleaner device pairing. The Simple is more common for back-of-house single-room use or budget-conscious deployments.
Which RollStar model is best for home use?
For home use, the Simple is the most accessible entry. Grand adds the in-session media features that home users with longer session protocols may appreciate. All three models include the same 4-speed roller, rotation change, and exercise chair plus pillow.

Setup & Specs

How much space does the RollStar need?
The unit footprint is approximately 52" L x 35" W (around 22 sq ft). Allow additional clearance on the user-entry side and around the unit for safe access. Standard 7 ft+ ceiling clearance is sufficient.
Does the RollStar require assembly?
Minimal assembly. The unit ships largely pre-assembled. Plan for two people to position the unit due to weight (330 lbs). Power-on and program setup takes 15 to 30 minutes. The owner's manual includes step-by-step setup instructions.
What power supply does the RollStar need?
120V / 60Hz for US installations or 230V / 50Hz for international. Power consumption is 0.37 kW base, 1.5 kW with infrared heating active. A dedicated 15-amp circuit is recommended if running the infrared option. Specify your voltage when ordering.
What is included with the RollStar purchase?
The RollStar unit (Simple, Grand, or Grand M as selected), natural wood roller bed, touchscreen control panel, exercise chair, pillow, power cable, owner's manual, and iPhone/Android app access. Infrared and chromotherapy modules are included if ordered as add-ons.
Is the RollStar noisy?
The motor is designed for smooth operation. Some mechanical noise is present during rolling sessions, similar to other commercial massage equipment. The level is generally compatible with spa, gym, and home environments.
What maintenance does the RollStar require?
Regular surface cleaning between sessions is recommended for sanitation in commercial settings. Periodic checks of the electrical system are advised at least every 6 months. The natural wood rollers are a wear part and may need replacement based on use frequency.

Warranty & Service

What is the warranty on the RollStar?
The RollStar ships with a standard 60-day manufacturer warranty. Extended service plans and longer coverage options are available at time of purchase. Call 866-861-6317 to confirm current warranty terms on your specific configuration and to discuss extended coverage.

  • Pre and post-workout recovery add-ons. Bundled with gym membership tiers as a recovery upgrade.
  • Spa wellness packages. Paired with infrared sauna, red light therapy, or hyperbaric sessions for combined-modality treatment programs.
  • Client retention add-ons. Recurring session memberships built around consistent visit frequency.

  • Chromotherapy. Color light therapy commonly used in spa session programming.
  • Collagen lamps. Add light wavelengths often paired with skin-focused session packages.

RollStar Lymphatic Massage Roller Benefits

Reported benefits of consistent RollStar session use, based on lymphatic drainage massage research and user reports:

Benefit What It Means
Lymphatic drainage support Mechanical rolling pressure may help stimulate fluid movement through the lymphatic system
Circulation support Increased blood flow to the rolling area during sessions
Muscle relaxation Used pre or post-workout to support muscle preparation and recovery
Skin texture and cellulite appearance Many users report improvements in skin texture with consistent use
Body contouring support Common application in spas and wellness center programming
Relaxation and stress reduction Combines rolling pressure, warmth (with infrared option), and ambient lighting
Toxin support Lymphatic drainage massage is widely associated with detox protocols (results vary)
Note on Results Results vary based on consistency, hydration, diet, activity level, and individual body composition. The RollStar is not a medical device and not a substitute for medical treatment, weight loss medication, or supervised therapy. Consult a physician before starting, especially if you have thyroid conditions, are pregnant, or have other active medical issues.

How to Use the RollStar Machine

  1. Start at a low speed. First session at speed 1 to acclimate to the rolling pressure.

What is not covered under the warranty?
