G2 Heater Options
The G2 ships without a heater so you can pick the type that suits you. It takes an electric heater or a wood-fired stove, both ordered separately. Common pairings:
Electric, standard
A 6kW electric heater suits the G2 cabin. Push-button operation, quick to run.
Electric, higher output
A 9kW electric heater heats faster and holds temperature well in colder climates.
Wood-fired stove
The G2 is large enough for a traditional wood-burning stove for a classic Finnish sauna.

What are Affirm's rates?
Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Can I finance equipment for a business?
Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.
Should I finance each machine separately?
No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.
Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Can freight and installation be financed?
Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.
Can I pay off early?
Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

Choosing the G2
Does the G2 fit four adults comfortably?
Yes. The G2 is built for four adults. Its cabin shape gives more usable interior and headroom than a barrel of the same footprint, with two bench tiers so nobody is crowded.
What is the advantage of the cabin design over a barrel?
The cabin gives two-tier benches, so you get a hotter top bench and a cooler lower one. Flat walls and a sealed, weatherproof structure also avoid the leaks that some barrels develop.
Can I use a wood-burning stove, or is it electric only?
Either. The G2 is large enough for a wood-fired stove or can run on an electric heater. The kit is sold without a heater, so you choose. A heater guard is included.
Is Nordic Spruce a good wood for an outdoor sauna?
Yes. The G2 uses 1.65 inch Nordic Spruce planks with interlocking V-joints. Thick spruce holds heat well and the joints let the wood expand and contract with the seasons without gapping.
Assembly and setup
How hard is the G2 to assemble?
It is a DIY kit best suited to two people, and most owners build it in about two days. No specialist skills are needed, though some building experience helps. Take your time on the door.
What is included in the kit, and what do I buy separately?
The kit includes the pre-cut spruce staves, Aspen benches and backrest, the tempered glass door, foundation beams, roofing and the LED lighting system. You buy the heater and stones separately.
Do I need a permit for a backyard sauna?
Sometimes. It depends on the size, location, foundation and heater type. New electrical, a wood-burning flue, setbacks from property lines, and HOA rules can all need approval. Check with your local building department before you install.
How long does the G2 take to heat up?
It depends on the heater and the outdoor temperature. On average, plan 45 to 60 minutes to reach full sauna temperature with a correctly sized heater. Call 866-861-6317 for heater sizing.
Delivery and maintenance
How is the G2 delivered?
It ships on a pallet by freight, curbside. Plan for help moving the crated components from the curb to your build site. Inspect the crate for damage before you sign.
How do I care for the exterior wood?
Treat the exterior with a quality wood stain or UV-protective sealant to shield it from rain and sun. For the interior, wipe with a damp cloth, and use a mild sauna cleaner for deeper cleans. Avoid harsh chemicals.
How does the G2 hold up in snow and rain?
Well. The 1.65 inch spruce walls and the self-adhesive EPDM roof are built for year-round outdoor use when the sauna is assembled and treated properly.
What warranty does the G2 come with?
The G2 carries a limited lifetime warranty for residential use, covering the cabin structure and non-electrical parts against defects in workmanship, for the original purchaser. It does not cover normal wear, natural weathering of the wood, or delivery and installation costs.

1. Warranty Coverage
- Limited Lifetime Warranty for residential use to original retail purchaser.

- SaunaLife chooses repair or replacement (new or reconditioned parts).
- Return authorization required; prepaid freight to SaunaLife; SaunaLife ships back after repair.
- Labor, removal, or reinstallation not covered.
- Warranty void for misuse, alteration, commercial use, unsafe temps, harsh chemicals, or acts of God.
3. Shipping & Delivery
- LTL freight on wooden pallet, curbside only (driver lowers to ground level).
- Carrier contacts you to schedule delivery; please advise of difficult access or extra costs.
- No shipping outside the lower 48 U.S. states.
4. Order Process & Notifications
- Order confirmation emailed immediately after purchase.
- Stock items ship within ~5 business days; tracking info within 24 hrs of shipment.
- Backorders void pre-authorization; you’ll be notified.
5. Cancellations (Before Shipping)
