How a session runs on the OvationULT
- Press Power. Press Massage if the client wants it.
- Select 10, 15 or 20 minutes. The client has 15 seconds to get in.
- The client lies back and pulls the canopy down until it touches the skin, arms outside the side panels.
- Lights turn off when the timer ends. The client pushes the canopy up and steps out.
- Wipe the polycarbonate with disinfectant on a microfiber cloth.
Eye protection is optional for comfort. Clients pull the canopy by its center, never by the side panels.
Cleaning products for the OvationULT
Use disinfectant with hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol. Avoid bleach, ammoniated chloride, and products based on aldehydes, phenols, hydroxides or amines.
Clients who need a doctor's approval first
Body Balance lists epilepsy, pregnancy or breastfeeding, liver or kidney disorders, pacemakers, uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe thyroid problems, cancer, a weakened immune system, and heart disease or arrhythmia. Stop any session that causes pain or discomfort.

Body Balance OvationULT: Setup and Room
Does the OvationULT need professional installation?
No. The OvationULT ships fully assembled. Set it in place, plug it into a standard 3-prong outlet and press Power. There is nothing to build or wire.
Will the OvationULT fit through my doors and into my room?
The OvationULT passes through a standard 32 in door without being taken apart. It fits a room as small as 10 x 10 ft. Measure every door and turn on the route in, not just the treatment room door.
Do I need a dedicated circuit for the OvationULT?
No dedicated circuit is required. The OvationULT runs on 115/230 VAC from a standard 3-prong outlet. If the same circuit also feeds a sauna heater or other heavy load, have your electrician check it first.
Running OvationULT sessions
How long is an OvationULT session?
The timer offers 10, 15 or 20 minutes. After you pick a time, the OvationULT waits 15 seconds so the client can get in. The lights switch off on their own when the timer ends.
Do clients undress for an OvationULT session?
Yes. Body Balance's manual says clients undress before getting in, then pull the canopy down until it touches the skin. Arms rest outside the side panels.
Do clients need eye protection in the OvationULT?
Eyewear is optional. Body Balance suggests clients may want it for comfort before the lights come on. Many studios keep a few pairs by the bed.
Can a client stop an OvationULT session early?
Yes. Pressing Power turns the lights off at any point in a timed session. The client then pushes the canopy up and steps out.

Is the OvationULT FDA registered?
Yes. Body Balance registers the OvationULT with the FDA as a Class II device under product code ILY, registration 3010627475. Registration is not FDA clearance or approval. RecovAthlete describes what the bed does and makes no treatment claims.
Who should not use the OvationULT without a doctor's approval?
Body Balance publishes a list of conditions that need a doctor's approval first, including pregnancy, pacemakers, epilepsy and heart disease. The full list is on the Specifications tab. Any session that causes pain or discomfort should stop right away.

How do I clean the OvationULT between clients?
Spray disinfectant onto a microfiber cloth and wipe the polycarbonate, which takes about 30 seconds. Products with hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol are safe for the surface. Bleach and ammonia-based cleaners are not.
How long do the OvationULT diodes last?
Body Balance rates the diodes at 40,000 hours on average, about 8 to 10 years of use. After that, Body Balance can send a technician to replace the circuit boards and diodes. The cost is quoted at the time of service.
