Black pipe is typical inside the sauna room, close to the stove. Stainless is standard for exterior and above-ceiling portions of the stack. Your installation guide and local code specify exactly.
How do I know what total stack length I need?

For a standard single-story residential sauna with 8-foot ceilings and typical roof pitch, yes. Unusual ceiling height, cathedral ceilings, or complex roofline may require additional extensions.
Can I use this with a Harvia electric heater?
No. Electric heaters don’t use a flue — they don’t produce combustion exhaust. This kit is for wood-burning Harvia stoves only.
