Basi Reformer With Tower Comparison

Reformer with Tower vs Reformer vs Reformer Combo

Three ways into the BASI system. This frame is the middle step, and the deciding factor is almost always the trapeze.

Dimension Reformer with Tower BASI Reformer Reformer Combo
Tower Full vertical tower, no trapeze Half tower with EPS Full tower with trapeze swing
Springs 13 5 17
Height 74.9" 39.4" 76.7"

Price plus freight $9,950 $6,850 $11,900
Step up from the model to its left $3,100 over the plain reformer, buys the full tower and 8 more springs Entry point $1,950 over the tower, buys the trapeze swing and 4 more springs
Choose this if You want push-through and roll-down bar work and have no room for a Cadillac You run group classes, or this is your first apparatus You teach the full classical repertoire and have one apparatus slot
Swipe the table sideways

One honest limitation. The tower is not a Cadillac. You get the push-through bar, the roll-down bar and eight tower springs, but no trapeze swing and no full mat table. Look at the step-up row above: the trapeze is the smallest price gap in the whole line. If the trapeze repertoire matters to your teaching, pay it. If it does not, this frame gives you most of the programming for less money and less ceiling.

Tower or Standalone Cadillac

The other comparison buyers run is this frame against a separate BASI Cadillac alongside a plain reformer.

Consideration Reformer with Tower Reformer plus separate Cadillac
Floor space One footprint Two footprints
Ceiling needed 7 ft minimum 8 ft minimum for the Cadillac
Clients at once One Two, in two rooms or one large room
Trapeze and full mat table No Yes
Total spend Lower Higher, two apparatus
Choose this if Square footage or ceiling height is your constraint, and you teach one client at a time You run two sessions in parallel, or you need the full classical Cadillac repertoire
Swipe the table sideways

Both routes are defensible. Studios short on room almost always end up here. Studios with the floor space and two instructors are usually better served buying the two apparatus separately, because the frames work in parallel rather than queueing clients on one machine.
