Common Questions About the BASI Reformer Combo
How much does the BASI Reformer Combo cost?
The current price is listed at the top of this page. The Comparisons tab shows what the Combo costs against buying a reformer and a Cadillac separately, which is the number most buyers actually want. Financing is available through Affirm, Brickhouse Capital, Reliant Capital and Acorn Finance. Studios buying more than one unit should call 866-861-6317 for multi-unit pricing before checkout.
Does the Combo replace a standalone Cadillac?
For programming, yes. The Combo runs the full trapeze repertoire. The difference is the mat surface. The standalone BASI Cadillac has the largest mat table in the category. The Combo uses the Twin Mat Conversion over the carriage, which is a raised mat, not a full mat table.
How long does it take to switch between modes?
Converting between Reformer, Tower and Cadillac is a hands-on change, not a lever flip. Plan for it between clients, not mid-session. That is why group-class studios usually run standalone reformers instead.
What is the Twin Mat Conversion?
Two mats that sit over the carriage and frame, turning the Combo into a raised mat platform. It is included in the box. Mat programming on the same footprint, with no second apparatus.
How much ceiling height do I need?
7 ft minimum, 8 ft for comfortable overhead work. The trapeze frame stands 76.7" (6 ft 5 in), which is lower than the standalone Cadillac at 87.2". Extension legs raise it further if you order them. Call 866-861-6317 before ordering if your ceiling is under 8 feet, since this frame is made to order and non-returnable.
Is this the same frame as the standalone Reformer?
Same beech construction, same Enhanced Pulley System, same carriage and gear bar. The Combo adds the full tower and trapeze integration into the frame.
Is assembly required?
Yes. Plan two people and roughly 60 to 90 minutes. An installation service is available if you would rather a technician do it, priced in the Specifications tab. Silicon wheels let one person reposition the frame afterwards. The manual in Supporting Information covers assembly and the mode conversions.
Do you offer white glove delivery?
Yes, as a paid add-on. Standard delivery is curbside, so the carrier leaves a 317 lb crate as close to your building as the truck can safely reach. White glove adds inside delivery to the room of your choice and packaging removal. It is quoted per order because cost depends on your address and access. Call 866-861-6317 for a quote before you place the order.
How long does delivery take?
The Combo is made to order. Anthracite Grey delivers in 6 to 8 weeks, all other colors in 8 to 10 weeks, measured from the day your order is confirmed. Both windows cover production and shipping. Full terms are in the Shipping tab.
Should I buy the Combo or two separate apparatus?
Buy the Combo when floor space is the constraint. Buy a reformer and a Cadillac separately when you have the room, because two apparatus let two instructors teach two clients at once and the standalone Cadillac has the larger mat table. The Comparisons tab sets out both routes with figures.
Is a shorter frame available?
Yes. The Short frame is 87.4" long instead of 95.3", and 99.4" with the trapeze fitted. It is quoted separately. Call 866-861-6317 if your room is tight.
How often do the springs need replacing?
Every 2 years or 3,000 hours of use, whichever comes first, across all 17 springs. This is a BASI requirement, not a suggestion. Skipping it may void your warranty. Replacement springs are available through us.
