The Total Gym ELEVATE Core ADJ trains your entire core without a single crunch. It uses an inclined glideboard with 7 resistance levels to load your abs, obliques, and lower back through plank and scrunch movements that traditional ab machines can't replicate. At 12 square feet and 80 lbs, it fits into any corner of a commercial gym, physical therapy clinic, or home setup. The 400 lb user capacity handles virtually every client. If your current core equipment involves lying flat and flexing your spine repeatedly, this replaces it.
RecovAthlete is an authorized Total Gym dealer. Full manufacturer warranty included.
Total Gym's ELEVATE line is the only commercial bodyweight resistance system that lets you train every muscle group across individual stations. We carry the full lineup because facility owners buy multiple units, and they need one dealer who can spec, quote, and ship the complete circuit. We handle that. If you need help deciding between the Core ADJ and the full ELEVATE Circuit package, call us at 866-861-6317.
Two primary movements. Plank: you hold a forearm plank on the inclined glideboard while it slides. The incline reduces bodyweight loading (you're working against roughly 35-65% of your weight depending on the level). Scrunch: the glideboard moves under you while you hold position, recruiting deep stabilizers that a standard crunch never touches.
Seven resistance levels let you start a deconditioned rehab patient at Level 1 and progress a college athlete to Level 7 on the same machine. The rolling glideboard adds instability that forces proprioceptive engagement. Every rep trains the abs, obliques, transverse abdominis, erector spinae, and hip stabilizers as a single integrated unit. That's why it outperforms isolated crunch machines for real-world core function.
Three core movement patterns. Each progresses from beginner to advanced by adjusting the resistance level.

Yes. Level 1 reduces bodyweight loading to roughly 35%, making it accessible for deconditioned users or post-rehab patients. The inclined glideboard makes planking easier than floor planks because gravity does some of the work.
Roman chairs and GHD machines use spinal flexion and extension under load. That's effective but produces compressive forces on the spine. The Core ADJ uses plank-based movements with a sliding glideboard. The spine stays neutral. For clients with disc issues, stenosis, or post-surgical restrictions, the Core ADJ is the safer option. For healthy athletes, it trains functional core stability (anti-extension, anti-rotation) better than flexion-based equipment.
Yes. The Core ADJ is used in PT clinics for lumbar stabilization programs, post-surgical core re-activation, and balance/proprioception training. The 7 resistance levels give you clinical progression without needing multiple machines. The 400 lb capacity covers bariatric patients. Total Gym also sells the RS Encompass and RS LEX for full clinical rehabilitation setups.
No. The Core ADJ is a fixed commercial unit at 12 square feet. It stays in place. For home gym users with limited space, note that 12 sq ft is roughly the size of a yoga mat. Most people position it against a wall.

If you're outfitting a facility, these bundles include the Encompass (full-body station) paired with the Core ADJ at a better per-unit cost:
The ELEVATE Core ADJ ships freight in one box (71" x 25" x 12", 134 lbs). Delivery times vary by location. Call 866-861-6317 or email info@recovathlete.com for a delivery estimate and quote. Assembly is straightforward. Most facilities have it operational within 30 minutes.
The "ADJ" stands for adjustable. The Core ADJ adds 7 resistance levels (the original had fixed resistance), letting you progress from rehab-level loading to advanced athletic training on the same unit. It also includes the forearm pad for plank variations.
