Before You Order the SaunaLife G3
The G3 is a flat-packed outdoor sauna kit. No heater included. Confirm these eight points before checkout.
1. FootprintAssembled size: 95.3"W x 86.6"D x 92.1"H. Plan roughly 8 x 7.5 ft plus clearance. Outdoor use only.
2. BaseRemove soil and replace with well-drained, load-bearing material. Keep vegetation cleared. Surface must be stable and level.

A full-height shingled roof and a recessed front terrace set this backyard sauna apart from barrel and cube designs. You assemble it on site and pair it with your own electric heater or wood-fired stove, both sold separately.

What are Affirm's rates?
Pay in 4 splits the purchase into four interest-free payments charged every two weeks. Monthly installments spread the cost over a longer term, with rates from 0% to 36% APR depending on your credit profile. You see the exact terms before you agree to anything. No origination fees, no prepayment penalty, no late fees.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Prequalification does not. Affirm and Acorn Finance both run a soft check to show you offers, which has no impact on your score. Proceeding with a monthly installment plan or a business loan may involve a hard inquiry. That is why it pays to prequalify with more than one lender first and only proceed with the best offer.
Can I finance equipment for a business?
Yes, and for most business buyers it is the better route. Brickhouse funds up to $250,000 on a one-page application with no financial statements. Reliant approves in 2 to 4 hours. Business financing is usually tied to the business rather than your personal credit report, and financed equipment can qualify for a Section 179 deduction. Confirm the tax position with your accountant.
Should I finance each machine separately?
No. This is the most common and most expensive mistake. Separate applications mean separate hard inquiries, separate payments, and a worse rate on each, because every individual ticket is small. Get one quote from RecovAthlete covering everything you are buying, including freight, and put that single number on one application.
Does Section 179 apply to financed equipment?
Financed equipment can qualify. Section 179 lets US businesses deduct the cost of qualifying equipment in the year it is placed in service, and financing the purchase does not by itself disqualify it. The equipment must be in service, not merely ordered, within the tax year. Annual limits and eligibility rules are set by the IRS and change year to year, so consult your accountant.
Can freight and installation be financed?
Freight, yes. On Affirm it is part of the order total at checkout. On business financing, put freight on the RecovAthlete quote and the whole quote amount goes on the application. Installation and room construction are harder, because some equipment lenders will not fund non-equipment costs. Ask the lender before you sign.
Can I pay off early?
Yes. Affirm charges no prepayment penalties. Acorn Finance and most business lenders also allow early payoff without penalty.

Choosing
Is a heater included with the SaunaLife G3?
No. The G3 ships without a heater, stones, or controls. You add an electric sauna heater or a wood-burning stove, sold separately.
What size heater does the G3 need?
SaunaLife does not publish a kW rating for the G3. Size your heater to the heater manufacturer's published room-volume range using the interior dimensions, 91.3"W x 62.8"D x 84.7"H. Call us and we will match a heater to the room before you order.
Should I pick electric or wood-burning?
Electric needs an electrician and a circuit sized to the exact heater. Wood-burning needs a chimney kit, clearances from the stove manual, dry firewood up to 12" long, and often a local permit check. The G3's terrace is a handy dry spot for stacked firewood.
How does the G3 differ from the G2?
Both are Garden-Series DIY kits. The G3 carries a manufacturer label of up to 6 people and adds the covered front terrace. The G2 is the 4-person step-down. See the Comparison tab.
Site and installation
What base does the G3 need?
The SaunaLife Care Guide says to remove the soil and replace it with a well-drained, load-bearing surface. Keep vegetation cleared underneath. The installation manual adds that the foundation must be stable and level for the door and window to operate. Confirm concrete, pavers, or a built platform with your installer.
How much assembly is required?
A full build. You erect the stave walls board by board, cut the door opening on site with a circular saw, hang the door, install the roof shingles, and fit the benches and vents. The manual's tool list includes a circular saw, drill, level, rubber mallet, Torx bits, and extra hands.
What electrical service does it need?
Two loads: the heater circuit, which depends on the heater you choose, and the included lighting, which runs from a 120VAC-input power supply. SaunaLife requires qualified professionals for heater and lighting installation.
How is the G3 ventilated?
The kit includes air intake and exhaust vents, with vent openings placed in the front and back walls during assembly.
Ownership
Does the exterior wood need treatment?
Yes. SaunaLife strongly recommends a wood preservative on all wooden components at assembly, then at least once a year. A 16.9 oz bottle of paraffin oil ships in the kit.
What should I know about the first heating?
The manual calls for a supervised first heating of about two hours to around 210F with the sauna well ventilated during and after, so the wood can absorb finishing materials.
What warranty applies?
SaunaLife covers workmanship defects on sauna rooms and kits for 5 years from delivery, residential use, for the original purchaser. Heaters carry a separate 5-year warranty. Labor, normal wear, natural weathering, and transport damage visible before installation are excluded. Commercial use voids it. Full terms are on the Shipping and Warranty tab.
Common questions
Do I need a permit to build a sauna in my backyard?
It depends on your city and county. Detached outdoor structures, electrical circuits for sauna heaters, and wood-stove chimneys can each trigger building, electrical, or fire permits. Check with your local building department before installation.
Can I build this backyard sauna kit myself?
Yes. The G3 is a DIY sauna kit. You erect stave walls, cut the door opening, install benches, shingle the roof, and connect the lighting and vents. The manual lists a circular saw, drill, level, rubber mallet, Torx bits, and at least one helper. Electrical work for the heater and lighting needs a qualified electrician.
Does the SaunaLife G3 outdoor sauna use a lot of electricity?
The sauna lighting draws only 11.32W at 24VDC. The main electrical draw comes from whichever electric heater you choose, typically 6 to 9 kW for a room this size. Your actual cost depends on your local rate and how often you heat.
Is this a cabin sauna or a barrel sauna?
The G3 is a cabin-style outdoor sauna with a parabolic arched roof, not a barrel. SaunaLife also makes barrel saunas in the Ergo Series (E6, E7, E8) if you want that form. See the Comparison tab.

- Limited Lifetime Warranty for residential use to original retail purchaser.
- Covers factory-assembled components found defective in workmanship.
- Excludes normal wear, natural weathering, sauna heaters, added components, and installation/delivery.
2. Warranty Service
- SaunaLife chooses repair or replacement (new or reconditioned parts).
- Return authorization required; prepaid freight to SaunaLife; SaunaLife ships back after repair.
- Labor, removal, or reinstallation not covered.
- Warranty void for misuse, alteration, commercial use, unsafe temps, harsh chemicals, or acts of God.
3. Shipping & Delivery
- LTL freight on wooden pallet, curbside only (driver lowers to ground level).
- Carrier contacts you to schedule delivery; please advise of difficult access or extra costs.
- No shipping outside the lower 48 U.S. states.
4. Order Process & Notifications
- Order confirmation emailed immediately after purchase.
- Stock items ship within ~5 business days; tracking info within 24 hrs of shipment.
- Backorders void pre-authorization; you’ll be notified.
5. Cancellations (Before Shipping)
- Cancel free of charge before order ships (exceptions: custom/made-to-order). We will have to deduct 5% payment processing fees
