HUUM UKU Controller FAQs

What is the difference between UKU Local, UKU Wi-FI, and UKU GSM controllers?
The only difference between UKU Local, UKU Wi-Fi, and UKU GSM controllers is that the HUUM mobile app is used to manage the sauna. You can only operate your sauna from the wall control panel with UKU Local, but you can also heat it from the HUUM mobile app with UKU Wi-Fi and UKU GSM. For that, the UKU Wi-Fi controller requires a Wi-Fi connection, while the UKU GSM uses a SIM card and mobile data.
Which controllers can be used with HUUM heaters?
HUUM heaters work with different manufacturersā controllers, provided that they are certified and have a temperature control function. The output of the heater has to match the output range determined by the manufacturer of the controller.
Can the heater be used without a controller?
No. Temperature control is required for HUUM heaters. There is no on/off switch for the heaters.
Can I use a HUUM controller with another manufacturerās heater?
Yes, if the heater includes a temperature control feature and can be controlled from a distance. It's a lot more difficult if you're using a mechanical heater, and we don't advocate it.
Do HUUM controllers work with combi heaters?

What is included in the set?
The UKU controller comes with everything you'll need to put it together and use it:

Where should the controller be installed?
The control panel must be located at the user's eye level, adjacent to the door, or in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, outside the steam room.
The main module should be placed in a dry and accessible location. The main module should not be installed in the sauna room. It is entirely at your own risk if you do so.
It is critical to ensure that the main module of the UKU Wi-Fi or UKU GSM controller can establish an internet connection at the chosen location before installing it.
Which colors are available?
You can choose from a variety of materials, including glass, wood, and plastic in various colors. Each wooden case is handcrafted by hand from ash that has been thermo-treated and has a unique wood pattern. Black, white, metallic, light grey, and golden colors are available in plastic cases.
