Antarctica Nitrogen Cryotherapy Chamber: Open-Head Whole-Body Cryo for Studios, Clinics, and Recovery Centers

The Antarctica Nitrogen Cryotherapy Chamber is a commercial open-head whole-body cryotherapy system built for wellness studios, medspas, sports recovery facilities, and longevity centers. Liquid nitrogen runs through an indirect heat-exchange circuit, so vapor never makes direct contact with skin. A 10.1" touchscreen drives session presets, and the cabin pulls down to roughly minus 120 to minus 170 degrees Celsius for one-to-three minute sessions. Available in Simple and Grand configurations.

WHY RECOVATHLETE CARRIES THIS

Whole-body nitrogen cryo earns its keep when sessions stack up fast and the cabin actually holds temperature between clients. Antarctica was built for commercial duty cycles, not consumer demos. The indirect Platinum Jet vapor system distributes cold evenly across the cabin, and the open-head design keeps first-time clients calm enough to rebook.

We stock Antarctica for operators who want a serious cryo asset on the floor without paying European-flagship pricing. The Grand configuration adds thermal imaging and oxygen sensing, which lifts both safety and the upsell story for premium memberships.

  • Rehabilitation clinics using cryo as part of post-injury and inflammation protocols

  • Open-head design keeps clients breathing room air, which lowers first-session anxiety and improves rebooking.
  • 10.1" touchscreen presets let any trained staff member run a session without operator guesswork.
  • Compact footprint at roughly 74" x 46" fits inside a single treatment room.
  • Low nitrogen consumption at 3-to-5 kg per session keeps per-session margins healthy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Antarctica chamber a medical device?

No. Antarctica is a wellness and sports recovery system, not an FDA-cleared medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Use it inside protocols designed for wellness, performance, and recovery.

What is the difference between Simple and Grand?

Both share the Platinum Jet vapor system, 10.1" touchscreen, and -120°C to -170°C operating range. Grand adds a thermal imaging camera for real-time body-surface temperature monitoring, an integrated oxygen sensor, and a 24" HD TV top display. Grand is the better fit for premium clinics and longevity centers. Simple is the right call for studios scaling cryo as a core service without the premium safety stack.

How much liquid nitrogen does a session use?

Roughly 3 to 5 kg per session including pre-cooling. Actual usage depends on ambient room temperature, how tightly sessions are spaced, and your pull-down strategy between clients. Shorter hose runs from the LN₂ tank to the chamber reduce loss.

Do I need a separate oxygen sensor for the room?

If you are running the Simple configuration, yes. Room ventilation and an independent oxygen sensor and alarm are best practice for any space using liquid nitrogen. The Grand configuration includes an integrated oxygen sensor monitor.

Is installation included?

No. Professional installation must be performed by a Vacuactivus factory-certified technician and is quoted separately. Contact us before ordering to scope your install and align delivery, install, and first-session timelines.

Can the chamber be moved after install?

Possible but not recommended. The unit weighs 450 kg, has a fixed nitrogen connection, and recalibration is usually needed after relocation. Plan room placement carefully before scheduling install.

How does the open-head design feel for first-time clients?

Most first-time clients describe it as energizing cold air surrounding the body with a mild pins-and-needles sensation as circulation activates. The open head lets clients breathe room air, which lowers claustrophobia and improves rebook rates compared with fully enclosed cabins.

Is Antarctica available for shipment to Canada?

No. Antarctica is not currently available for sale or shipment to Canada.

What is the warranty?

Standard manufacturer warranty applies, with extended coverage available depending on configuration and destination. Final warranty terms are confirmed at purchase. Contact us for current options.
