    🪵

    Classical Proportions

90"L × 26"W — Joseph Pilates' original design dimensions. A different feel from modern aluminum reformers that many instructors find essential for classical training.

    🔨

    Handcrafted Hardwood

Solid beechwood or oak frame. Built to last decades in daily studio use. No composite panels, no plastic components on the structural frame.

What the Specs Actually Mean for Your Practice

Spec What It Means for You
90"L × 26"W × 16"H Classical Pilates reformer dimensions. Shorter and narrower than aluminum studio models, reflecting the original design that Joseph Pilates' method was built around.
Solid beechwood or oak frame Hardwood construction delivers a different tactile experience than aluminum — warmer, heavier, more resonant. Beechwood offers greater longevity and lower production waste.
Rubber-dipped contoured spring bar Quieter spring changes than traditional metal bars. Contoured shape guides fingers naturally. No jarring metal-on-metal contact during resistance adjustments mid-session.
4-position contoured locking footbar Locking mechanism holds position securely without interrupting flow. Four positions accommodate different exercises and client proportions.
Steel carriage with flip mechanism Built-in infrastructure for future tower or twin mat upgrades. The carriage flips to the correct position without replacing any components.
5-spring system (1 heavy, 2 medium, 2 light) Same resistance range as the Fit™ and MVe®. Beginner through advanced. Springs are specific to the wood line — not interchangeable with metal line reformers.
Retractable risers Two positions for feet-in-straps range of motion. Retract for storage or when a lower riser position is preferred for classical programming.
Long/Short Box included (9.5"H × 16"W × 27.5"L) Ready for box work on arrival. No additional purchase needed for the full reformer and box repertoire.

What is the difference between this and the MVe® Reformer?

The Artistry™ is solid wood, 90 inches long, not stackable, and built to classical proportions. The MVe® is aluminum, 103 inches long, stackable up to 4 high, and better suited for studios needing portability. The wood feel and classical dimensions are the primary reasons practitioners choose the Artistry™ over the MVe®.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What wood options are available for the Artistry Reformer? +

The Artistry Reformer is available in beechwood or walnut hardwood. Both are solid hardwood construction, not veneer or laminate. Beechwood offers a lighter natural tone while walnut provides a darker rich finish. Choose the wood that matches your studio aesthetic or existing Peak Pilates equipment.

What is the difference between rope and leather strap options? +

Rope risers are the traditional rigging used in classical Pilates and offer a different feel during arm and leg exercises. Leather straps provide a wider grip surface and more cushioned hand contact. Both options deliver the same exercise functionality. Your preference depends on training background and studio style.

Is the Artistry Reformer built for commercial studio use? +

Yes. The Artistry Reformer uses a solid hardwood frame with precision bearing carriage rated for daily commercial use. The construction is heavier and more rigid than aluminum frame reformers, which many classical Pilates instructors prefer for its stability and quiet operation during sessions.

Does RecovAthlete offer the Artistry Reformer at authorized dealer pricing? +

Yes. RecovAthlete is an authorized Peak Pilates Gold Dealer for 2025. This means you receive genuine product with full manufacturer warranty, authorized dealer pricing, and direct support from both RecovAthlete and Peak Pilates. Call 866-861-6317 for current pricing and bundle options.

Spec What It Means for You
90"L × 26"W × 16"H Classical Pilates reformer dimensions. Shorter and narrower than aluminum studio models, reflecting the original design that Joseph Pilates' method was built around.
Solid beechwood or oak frame Hardwood construction delivers a different tactile experience than aluminum — warmer, heavier, more resonant. Beechwood offers greater longevity and lower production waste.
Rubber-dipped contoured spring bar Quieter spring changes than traditional metal bars. Contoured shape guides fingers naturally. No jarring metal-on-metal contact during resistance adjustments mid-session.
4-position contoured locking footbar Locking mechanism holds position securely without interrupting flow. Four positions accommodate different exercises and client proportions.
